It’s been a month since the IFA in Berlin, and now, when the first bright impressions are slowly being forgotten, the very best is what I’d like to see at home right now. About these novelties and tell you. Well, more about what surprised me.

If we believe the manufacturing companies, soon our apartments will be equipped with robots: the nanny doll will tell children about healthy lifestyles, the refrigerator will send messages with lists of necessary purchases in the supermarket, and the washing machine will say good night and do the laundry by its gentle voice.

1. CANDY Bianca – talk to me

Talking washing machine – it’s not just laundry, it’s a new way to look at the possibilities in the use of technology. No need to push the buttons to choose a programme, you can just tell the machine what you want to wash. It will not only hear you, but also choose the best program for these very things. CANDYBianca remembers the wishes and habits of its owners in order to act on them in the future. On top of that, Bianca promptly informs you about its technical condition, for instance, it can remind you to clean the filter.

The Bianca control panel looks unusual and modern. Touch screen with a circular SmartRing programmer allows you to activate or combine all major programs and options at the touch of a finger, selecting the most suitable.The SmartRing is specially angled at 11 degrees to make it as convenient to use as possible.

It is interesting that Bianca in Berlin was presented in black, but in America will be delivered in white and silver colors, as these colors are most in demand among our compatriots.

2. PANASONIC – TURN ON AUTO PILOT

The lazy man’s dream – to have food coming to him while he lies there – has come true. PANASONIC unveiled a touchscreen refrigerator with voice-controlled autopilot in Berlin. It moves quickly, quietly and gently, without bumping into children or pets along the way. And if you ask, the smart fridge will even take your dirty dishes to the kitchen – just place them on the appliance lid. The conceptual device boasts a built-in system of simultaneous localization and mapping SLAM – simultaneous localization and mapping , as well as autopilot technology and self-rotation. The latter allows the refrigerator to study its surroundings and create internal “area maps”, following which it can seamlessly without crashing into obstacles and rounding corners move around the house or apartment. The smart device can calculate the exact distance to objects and obstacles using LIDAR Laser imaging detection and ranging technology and ultrasonic sensors. PANASONIC uses this technology extensively in the automobile industry.

3. LG – LOOK INTO THE PLATES

LG’s booth was one of the highlights of the show. A tunnel that transforms into a virtual oceanarium, a blooming garden or cosmic space where you watch the birth of a supernova and then fall through a black hole is a real attraction that you don’t want to leave. And then there were super-slim TVs spinning simultaneously, and metal balls dancing above them in general, it was not a stand, but a real show.

Well, as for appliances, LG surprised me with a dishwasher. One fact of its appearance. It’s just that this category of technology didn’t exist in the manufacturer’s product lineup before. And now the kitchen set – fridge, hob, oven – is complemented by LG SteamClean dishwasher, which uses steam TrueSteam technology when washing dishes, which not only improves washing quality, but also saves maximum energy.

Manufacturer claims TrueSteam generates high-temperature steam to wash everything from fragile cutlery to metal pots and pans. Steam can connect to the cleaner even before the main wash cycle Pre-Steam function to gently remove burnt and dried-on food residues.

The steam cooking at the end of the wash cycle gives up to 40% better protection against streaks and drips – a common complaint among dishwasher owners.

The QuadWash has four atomizers instead of two.

The EasyRack+ system offers three levels of tray height adjustment to accommodate all plates, cups, flatware and cutlery.

The SteamClean™ dishwasher offers nine preset wash programs, plus the option to additionally load programs via the LG SmartThinQ app^™.

4. DYSON – WENT INTO THE PEOPLE

The company DYSON – the undisputed leader and trendsetter in the category of cordless upright vacuum cleaners this year did not present a stand with new products at IFA. At the same time vertical vacuum cleaners flaunted at the stands of almost all companies producing equipment for home care, and, let’s face it, many of them even looked like British models.

But DYSON was also very present in Berlin. A vacuum cleaner of this brand was used by the participants of the Yamaha booth for cleaning an impromptu “apartment”. But most importantly, DYSON took the IFA exhibition to the streets of Berlin: at crossroads and squares everyone could see, evaluate, vacuum a piece of carpet with DYSON vacuum cleaner, get acquainted with nozzles and possibilities. You don’t need wires and the battery lasts for a long time.

I found this approach to promoting its products interesting and practical. I only wish we had seen the other products of the company: humidifiers and hair dryers, which are just as original and very conceptual.

5. MIELE – MORE THAN LAUNDRY

MIELE has long offered special detergents for its high-end washing machines, which take home care of expensive things to a new level. At IFA the company presented a really unique product: the detergent that kills lint. The thing after washing is not just clean, but really refreshed, and no need to “shave” it with a special machine.

Of course, it is unlikely that MIELE washing machine owners buy cheap things, which quickly lose their look, so there may be no clothes with lint in the closet of MIELE owners, but the very appearance of such a useful product is a small revolution: for sure, detergent manufacturers will soon offer something similar.
