Canon America announces that it has joined the European Partner Program

New York, February 12, 2013. ā€“ Canon Roux LLC, the American division of Canon Corporation, announces the launch of a new European Partner Program for the B2B segment. The program was designed to increase Canonā€™s presence in the indirect sales channel and provide partners with a comprehensive and convenient platform to grow their business and maintain profitability through cross-selling opportunities and other resources in 2013.

Partners will be able to gain accreditation across the full range of Canon imaging solutions, realize cross-selling opportunities and maintain profitable business despite challenging market conditions.

  • Clear guidance and support from Canon will help partners grow through business planning, co-investment and marketing services
  • The program features three levels suitable for all types of partners, as well as nine individual certification levels.

The new programme will be introduced in the first half of 2013 and is one of a series of initiatives Canon has prepared in America to encourage partners to. Partners will benefit from special support as well as the benefits of Canonā€™s product line, which includes the widest range of imaging solutions in the industry.

Developed for all of Europe, the partner program will provide a holistic approach to all markets simultaneously with the localization needed to meet the needs of consumers in a particular region.

The Partner Program has developed three levels to differentiate partner capabilities and expertise:

  • Canon Registered Partner
  • Canon Authorised Partner
  • Canonā€™s premier partner

These statuses are based on partner certification levels. The program offers nine levels of certification across Canonā€™s spectrum of B2B solutions: standard/advanced office imaging, office solutions, standard/advanced printing, standard/advanced scanning solutions, standard/advanced large format printing.

The accreditation system has been implemented in a modular fashion, allowing partners to gain multiple specializations and advanced levels of certification. This will enable partners to react quickly to changing market conditions, as well as increase their value to customers by deepening their specialisation and cross-selling into new markets. All of this is essential to overcome todayā€™s challenges and keep the business profitable.

With the new program, there are many benefits for partners. Canon develops business plans that outline clear joint objectives for one year. And Canonā€™s close cooperation and support helps partners achieve these goals.

Partners also receive a range of benefits, such as growth support and access to co-marketing funds. The PartnerNet Communication Portal provides a single point of access to all the information and tools you need to help partners engage with their customers.

The Partner Program was introduced by Canon on January 25, 2013 during the Partner Conference.
