Smooth and clear
This super-telephoto zoom lens features Nikon’s Vibration Reduction System, which delivers sharp, clear images for both wide-angle group portraits in low-light conditions and distant zoom subjects. It also gives you extra clarity when shooting handheld and allows you to use slower shutter speeds without worrying about blur caused by camera shake.
The Vibration Reduction Optical System VR also stabilises the viewfinder image and improves autofocus and framing accuracy, especially at longer focal lengths in the 300mm zoom range. Superb optical performance
The optical design of the new NIKKOR VR 18-300mm zoom lens has 16 elements in 12 groups and delivers excellent results with DX-format digital SLR cameras that support high-resolution shooting. Three ED glass elements and three aspherical lenses effectively reduce the risk of aberrations that can occur with super telephoto zoom lenses: Nikon’s ultra-low dispersion ED glass elements reduce chromatic aberration even at maximum aperture, while the aspherical lens elements virtually eliminate other types of aberrations.
