The burners can be ignited with one hand and the other hand remains free.
Two cast-iron grids – sturdy and durable – make cleaning easy: if you spill liquids by one burner, you can remove the grids and tidy up the panel, leaving the dishes on the other side of the burners. Cast-iron grids are heavy, so you don’t have to worry about the pot tipping over.
