FIRST IMPRESSION
The hair dryer is big, the nozzle length without the nozzle is 24 cm, with the nozzle – 31 cm, but it is not heavy – 800 g.

I was confused by the box – all the promises are in English: “easy to store”, “easy to clean”, “rotating cord” etc.p. All the more reason why some of them are not quite true, as the test showed.
THE ERGONOMICS
The shape of the handle is comfortable, but the smooth plastic is a little slippery.
The standard cord length is 1.8 m, but it is a non-professional hair dryer, so it’s okay. No swivel cord fastener, but a special device to prevent twisting.
Convenient hanging loop lets you hang it on even a thick hook.
The long nozzle is the norm for modern hair dryers, it protects the hair from being sucked into the air inlet, and it is also the way to go for professional styling.
The mode switch panel is located on the inside of the handle, the switches are not pushbuttons, but “slide switches”. Not a nuisance – just a feature, but some people are more accustomed to the buttons.
HYGIENICITY
The smooth surface is easy to clean with a soft cloth.
The air inlet grille is removable for cleaning . Everything seems to be “by the way”, but it is not possible to take it off, just pressing the specially marked places with your fingers. You can, of course, pick up something, but we did not: I’m sorry for my nails, and a knife – it’s already some kind of extreme.
SAFETY
It is advisable to install a residual current device RCD in the power supply to the bathroom this is described in the instruction manual, which is exceptionally attentive: it contains plenty of warnings about all possible dangers, up to and including the prohibition on using the hair dryer during a thunderstorm. The pictogram with the crossed out tub of water “do not immerse in liquid” is on the side of the handle and is clearly visible.
The hair dryer has an auto-off function in case of overheating. In this case, you need to wait 10 – 15 minutes before turning it on again – so it says in the manual.
Like other test hair dryers, we kept it on for five minutes at maximum speed and temperature. Tested and proven. I found out by the way, that the case is very well insulated and not warm at all, and the places with blue inserts are still cold. The nozzle is hot, and the manual warns you to remove it only when it has cooled down.
SALON USE
The hair dryer is not suitable for salons, it has a regular motor, not a professional one, and the cord is of a standard length. The airflow at maximum is not strong enough, despite the power consumption of 2200 watts, and the presence of a concentrator does not help much: it has holes on the sides through which the air escapes.
NOISE
With background noise of 29-31 dB the noise level is 70-72 dB at maximum and 78-80 dB in cold blowing mode. It is 1 dB less than the Scarlett. In this test, the BBK model is the quietest, but its airflow power is lower than the others. Note that, as with the Scarlett, when you activate the cold blower mode, the engine runs at maximum and you can hear it.
PRACTICAL TESTS: DRYING AND STYLING
On the first speed at medium temperature it is quite possible to dry short hair or dry wet hair, for a wet head there is not enough power flow.
Hair of medium length – rather thick, but thin hair became dry after seven minutes on the second speed at medium temperature. The temperature goes up, too, although the switch is still in the middle position: there’s no electronic control, no precisely calibrated temperature.
The second speed with a high temperature makes it easy to dry my head quickly, but it gets too hot after about two minutes. I have to move my hair dryer more than 30cm away from my head, it scatters, and you have to turn the temperature down.
The cold blowing is activated by a separate button. If you switch from medium temperature mode, the air is quite cool, and if you switch from maximum – warm: for a quick drop in temperature is fine, but for contrast – not so much.
Convenient switches modes, good drying results, ionization, auto shut-off in case of overheating. Taking care of safety: non-heated case, detailed instructions and warning icons on a prominent place of the potential danger. In the bag for storage and transportation.
The “cold” blowing is not cold enough, the grille is difficult to remove, the maximum power of the airflow is less than you would expect from a 2200W hair dryer.
