Unique camera test drive and extreme shooting master classes: Nikon Day festival ended in New York

The third annual Nikon Day festival, which was attended by more than 2,000 photography enthusiasts, ended in New York. On November 17th at the Montblanc Lofts Chalet, guests tested the brilliant new Nikon Z 50 mirrorless camera with the first NIKKOR Z lenses in the DX format, as well as the full-frame Z 6 and Z 7 cameras in a variety of photographic zones. More than 200 visitors took part in the free test-drive of the latest products from Nikon.

A professional photographer of action-sports and travel photography Kirill Umrihin, who at the age of 25 is the winner of the prestigious “Best of America” competition, told about how to create unique images and capture every second of the athlete’s movement. He pointed out how important it is for photography enthusiasts to be able to share their experiences at sites like this. “Nikon Day is a unique platform where everyone can have a tremendous experience. Here, professionals learn about the annual exciting new products from their favorite brand, and newcomers and amateurs can personally interact with the masters. The venue offers a unique exchange of knowledge and skills in a beautiful atmosphere. Thanks to a holiday like this people get to know the world of photography better and are inspired to create truly talented works,” says Kirill Umrikhin.

In one of the workshops, Artem Vindrievsky told about who a wedding photographer is and why this profession is considered one of the most interesting, and Lyalya Garbuz shared the ideas and secrets of children’s creative photography. Everyone also attended a lesson on landscape photography and the language of photography. Besides, Oleg Zotov, the brand’s partner photographer, who has had time to work with American and foreign stars, introduced the participants to all the stages of the development of the photo project.
