The first Samsung GALAXY Camera goes on sale

New York, November 21, 2012 – Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the Samsung GALAXY Camera in America. The camera will be available in America on November 29 in white and black colors. The Samsung GALAXY Camera, first unveiled at IFA in August, combines the superb photography experience, Android™4.1 Jelly Bean and connectivity via 3G/4G + Wi-Fi. World’s first camera with networking capabilities. The Samsung GALAXY Camera ushers in a new era of visual communication, allowing you to take, view, edit and share high-quality photos and videos anywhere, anytime – all with one device.

Working closely with the Mobile and Digital Imaging Business Departments, the company has created the first camera with extensive network connectivity enabling users to take colorful, high-quality photos and videos and share them instantly on their favorite social networks or send them to family and friends, without the restrictions common in traditional cameras.

The first camera with network connectivity Samsung GALAXY Camera provides access to 3G/4G + Wi-Fi networks, allowing users from around the world to share unlimited data, as well as the functions of a smartphone. Sending high-quality photos to your favorite social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram is easier than ever.

Double-bandwidth Wi-Fi connection with link bonding ensures maximum transfer speeds. Capture, view, edit and send photos at the touch of a button.

In addition, Samsung GALAXY Camera provides unsurpassed photo quality, which far surpasses the cameras of existing smartphones. The camera features a 21x optical zoom, super-bright 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and Smart Mode technology that offers 15 photo modes and default shooting settings for easy, professional-quality photos. Smart Mode by Samsung to take clear shots in any situation, making the Samsung GALAXY Camera a joy to use.

The resulting images can be viewed on an ultra-clear 4.8-inch 121.1 mm touchscreen display. But the screen is not only useful for this. Users can edit their photos with Photo Wizard, a versatile set of 35 photo retouching tools that uses an ultra-fast quad-core processor. The Paper Artist app, which became popular after the release of the Samsung GALAXY Note II smartphone, also allows for quick photo editing.
