Construction and design

Vekta MGP-1503 electric meat grinder looks very decent. You can leave it on the countertop if space allows, instead of putting it on a shelf in a cabinet.

The body with white plastic finishing – sounds trivial, but looks fresh and stylish thanks to the embossed pattern. By the way, everything is great tactile – it’s nice to touch the device.

Meat grinder is big enough, but narrow, so it can be compactly placed on the table.

No handle for carrying, but the manufacturers have provided a “hidden” handle: there is a notch in the back, so the meat grinder is easy to carry, but it must be held with two hands.

Four anti-slip feet allow the device to stand firmly on the table during operation.

Ergonomics

  • Assembly and disassembly

In theory, it’s the same as for everybody else – you press the button, put the working chamber in, twist it, and that’s it. In fact, a little more complicated. You need to get into the grooves, and to do this you have to twist the chamber a bit. But this is only the first time you have to spend a few minutes. Understand how to operate and then you can assemble the meat grinder in seconds.

  • Ring nut

Convenient with wide tabs that make it easy enough to remove even if you twist it tightly during assembly.

  • Care

This electric multi-food grinder is easy to care for. The body is enough to wipe with a kitchen towel, and the working chamber, the knife, perforated discs and nozzles will have to be cleaned manually.

Disks are quickly covered with dark spots

just like everyone else

, for those for whom this is not acceptable, I recommend wiping them dry immediately.

The on and reverse buttons are not smooth, so the recesses can collect dirt

After all it is often necessary to press the buttons not very clean hands

. Therefore, you will have to wipe the buttons after each use of the meat grinder, and in some cases cotton swabs will help.

VEKTA MGP-1503 Mincer

Control

The Vekta MGP-1503 Electric Mincer has a control panel on the body. Unlike the majority of models that have a three-position switch, this grinder has separate buttons for switching on and for reverse. Both of them with a light which shows that the device is plugged in.

If

mincing machine

If it is placed on the left side, the on button will be on the near side, if it is on the right side – on the far side. A couple of times in the process of making sausages, when the meat grinder has to be turned on and off quite often, I mixed up the buttons.

The reverse is only activated when the button is pressed, and, in theory, this function can be activated both when the grinder is on and when it is off the button is pressed . But in the manual, the manufacturers prohibit turning the switch from the On position to the R position. You need to wait at least one minute until the mincer motor stops working completely.

As part of the editorial test, we do not test for reliability, at least in all our time of use

(more than 10 minced meat preparation buttons always respond clearly to each press.

Test

Performance

Vekta MGP-1503 electric meat grinder manufacturers promise 2 kg per minute.

At a quiet working pace beforehand one kilo of sliced meat was minced in 40-50 seconds.

That’s a great result!

Realistically, everything is very fast. Especially if you consider that the multi-food grinder can run for 10 minutes without stopping.

Means that in one cycle you can put 15 kg of meat through the grinder.

Minced meat quality

I passed through a meat grinder Vekta MGP-1503 and soft pork and tough beef – minced meat is not pressed out, came out evenly, accurately.

But carrots were chopped in the following way: at first they were confidently chopped, then the process stopped and it was necessary to push them with the pusher. And then I had to lift the bowl and bring it closer to the disk, otherwise the chopped bits of carrot “shot out” of the mincing machine, which did not add to the purity of the surrounding space.

Residue

After each shredding of meat, I took apart the meat grinder, took out the auger and gathered in a lump all the remains of meat that did not spin. Of course, their number depends on the grade of meat, but in all cases the remainder was less than a teaspoon.

This is a very good result!

Power

The manufacturer has specified three power values: the power consumption and two peak. There were no peak situations during the doughing process,

Measurements show that the power for mincing ranges from 250 W to 350 W.

Cooking sausages

Preparing sausages, spinach and coupats is easier than you think, if you have a meat grinder with the appropriate attachment.

This process involves two steps: first you prepare the mince, then you add your favorite spices, salt, pepper, professional cooks even add a little water, then you mix everything.

Then put on the meat grinder appropriate attachment, and in the opening of the working chamber with a spoon you send ready-made minced meat, and on the attachment put the sausage casing.

Feature of this model – on the auger must remain a knife, without this minced meat is not extruded this is written in the manual . Before that, the process went without a knife on three grinders from other manufacturers.

Otherwise, everything is fine: the sausages turned out. It took about thirty minutes for all the cooking, including turning meat and making mincemeat. So I recommend using the sausage attachment and cooking with Vekta MGP-1503 kupaty, spinacacchi and other goodies.

Noise level

Noise level increased up to 90 dB when turning on the grinder without it – 45-50 dB . It’s loud. But, interestingly, for some of my household members, the confident noise of the mincer motor was an indicator of its power and good work! “Oh,” they said, “Good meat grinder, look how it works.”.

Nuances

This multi-food grinder comes with a variety of features: apart from the sausage and kebbe nozzles, it has vegetable slicers and graters, and a juice maker.e. Vekta MGP-1503 is such a food processor. But as part of a comparative editorial test, I have not tested their work, so I can’t say anything about them.
