Sony SLT-A57 / A37 DSLR review

Cameras with SLT type EVF use a fixed semi-transparent mirror only for autofocus and are not formally a mirror because they don’t have a mirror-like viewfinder.

Description

The entry-level SLT cameras are very noticeably superior to real DSLRs of the same class in terms of continuous shooting speed, but there are still limitations when shooting fast sports scenes because of the rather simple autofocus. But for shooting children, pets, portraits and street photography both cameras will do well. Both cameras are functionally very rich: high-resolution video shooting, proprietary panorama shooting mode the most convenient of the implemented now, a very fashionable 3D mode, the function of focusing on the face, etc. . They are very similar in functionality, but the A57 is noticeably faster and slightly larger in size.
