Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V compact camera review

Modest savings for those who really want the best HX-series electronics, but are stretching their camera budget to the limit. The smallest in the line HX10V is similar to HX20 travel-compact externally and internally, but it is equipped with a weaker zoom and costs less.

18.2 MP 25-400 16x 3″ $340

HX10’s focal length range starts at 25mm and stops at 400mm 16x zoom . The electronics, including the Exmor R sensor, fast processor, and all related functionality are retained. The 3-inch display with 921k resolution also remains. pixels, and GPS. The only thing simpler is the video mode that creates movies with a frame size of 1920×1080 pixels, but already at the usual speed of 30 fps.

Out-of-context features paint an image of a capable and functional camera – travelers and all lovers of modern technology in general will like this one. But the price difference from the older model is not so noticeable, and the difference in size is not visible at all. And if you’ve already made up your mind for this format, perhaps it makes sense to add a bit more to the more powerful zoom model HX20V after all. You can, however, save some extra money: the speed-less H90 twin is a third cheaper.
