Unlike the flagship, this model has a primitive, boring design. The only bright spot is the four-legged stand, but it evokes contradictory feelings.

Samsung

Functionality

PS51F5500 ak is equipped with a 2-core processor, so it is not as vigorous and responsive as the flagship with a 4-core processor. Samsung Smart Hub service allows you to get the most out of your TV, but we’ve already written about this. Recent History function allows you to quickly check out a web page or another channel without interrupting the game. Samsung AllShare function allows you to download photos, videos and music from a tablet, laptop, smartphone, photo and video camera to the TV screen. ConnectShare Movie lets you simply plug a USB drive or hard drive into a USB port on your TV and watch your media library, photos, or music playback on your TV.

The main menu offers a basic set in American, with subsections in each section. So, for example, the Picture menu offers three viewing options – Dynamic, Standard and Cinema. The last one, in my opinion, the most successful and realistic. Navigation is user friendly and clear, there’s no need to look through the manual more than once.

Picture quality

A new type of filter and the structure of the panel allows you to watch TV at any angle, without losing high definition. Unlike plasmas with regular glass, this technology almost completely eliminates the effect of blurring and stray images. When watching movies, the picture is clear, in fast-moving scenes there are no “plumes” colors are saturated, bright, the effect of “immersion” in the picture is present, as in a real cinema. The TV set is at its best in 3D mode, kids try to touch the picture with their hands. By the way, it comes with several pairs of active shutter glasses.

Sound.

The sound is not bad, the speakers are directed downwards. Supports 3D Sound, Dolby Digital Plus\Pulse, SRS Theater Sound 3D, DTS Premium Audio.

The Samsung PS51F5500 AK plasma TV boasts a 51-inch screen size with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It features Samsung’s Ultra Slim design, Clear Image panel technology, and Wide Color Enhancer Plus for vibrant and crisp picture quality. The TV offers a wide range of connectivity options, including 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and built-in Wi-Fi for streaming content.

In terms of energy efficiency, the PS51F5500 AK plasma TV is Energy Star certified, but plasma TVs are generally less energy-efficient compared to LED/LCD TVs. However, the overall performance of this TV is impressive with deep blacks, excellent color reproduction, and smooth motion handling.

Users have reported that the TV may suffer from screen burn-in issues if static images are displayed for extended periods. To optimize the viewing experience, it is recommended to vary the content displayed and adjust the settings for brightness, contrast, and color temperature accordingly.

Overall, the Samsung PS51F5500 AK plasma TV offers excellent picture quality and connectivity options, but potential buyers should be aware of the energy consumption and screen burn-in risks associated with plasma technology.
