Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 compact camera

The well-developed manual control in the series is further improved by the touchscreen. A lot of “smart” digital technology is offered to amateur photographers. Tourist orientation is further emphasized by a GPS-module: the camera marks the photos and the route of the photographer on a built-in map. All functionality together with convenient control fits into a rather compact body weighing about two hundred grams.

Panasonic travel cameras seem to be created not so much for travelers, but for fans of the most progressive and advanced electronic gadgets. Otherwise it’s hard to imagine how the TZ series models get so functional, powerful, compact and pretty at the same time. Tourists, however, the cameras are also very suitable.

The Lumix TX30, for example, has increased the zoom ratio to 20 and is now capable of capturing details of subjects quite far away in addition to panoramic wide-angle views. The Leica optical system and the proprietary stabilization combined with a modern, high-sensitivity MOS-sensor ensure outstanding image quality and sharpness.

Electronics featuring a focus delay reduced to 0.1 second and a shutter speed of up to 10 fps. This one won’t let you miss even unexpected and dynamic moments. They can also be captured on video at 60 fps.
