RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. Announces the release of five PENTAX-DA HD lenses for digital cameras with a K mount. These new lenses inherit the distinctive features and premium look of the legendary Pentax Limited series while adding HD coating and a rounded aperture, enhancing the unrivaled imaging performance of the Limited family.
The Limited Series was created by perfectionists for perfectionists: precision optical schemes, the use of special glass grades, high aperture ratio, high-quality images at open apertures, meticulously crafted metal housing, precise indication of focal lengths as opposed to the common practice of rounding the actual focal length to the nearest standard and, perhaps most importantly, the individual pattern characteristic of each lens.
High-quality multi-coated coating
All lenses are treated with HD coating with multi-coat technology, which provides a higher light transmission coefficient, uniform throughout the visible light range, and less reflectivity than conventional multi-coat coatings.
This results in sharp, clear images without flare or ghost images, even when backlit, and ideal color balance in the image.

Perfectly rounded aperture for beautiful bokeh
All lenses feature a completely circular aperture, which allows for natural and beautiful bokeh, minimizing the effects of point light sources.
Inheriting all the strengths of the legendary Limited Series, the new lenses have been adapted to work with digital cameras. The lens barrel, lens hoods and lens caps will continue to be made of high-quality hand-crafted aluminum alloy.
The legendary premium quality of the Limited Series
