Nikon introduces the LASER 50 and LASER 30 laser distance meters

Nikon introduces two new laser rangefinders, the LASER 50 and LASER 30, that make measuring fast and easy in various conditions. The LASER 50 features a high-strength magnesium alloy die-cast housing and measures distances up to 1820 m. LASER 30 has a similar heavy-duty housing and measures distances up to 1460 m. The main advantages of both models include the display of four measurement modes โ€“ the horizontal and angle distance mode, the actual distance and angle mode, the horizontal and height distance mode, and the actual distance and height mode.

Both rangefinders feature a high-quality internal OLED display with automatic light-dependent brightness adjustment. Thanks to the HYPER READ function the HYPER READ function measures the distance quickly and reliably regardless of the distance to the object, the result is displayed within 0.3 seconds. Meter housings are waterproof and fogproof so they are protected against splashes, dropping in water and sudden weather changes.

Main features of the LASER 50 rangefinder

โ€“ Measuring range: 9.1-1820 m

โ€“ Red internal display allows you to better see the measurement result in any situation. Automatic brightness adjustment function adjusts display brightness depending on lighting conditions.

โ€“ Fast and reliable measurement independent of distance โ€“ the HYPER READ feature gives you a reading in about 0.3 seconds.

โ€“ Single and continuous measurement up to 8 seconds . If a single measurement fails, the Meter automatically continues to measure distance for 4 seconds. Up to 8 seconds of continuous measurement can be initiated by holding down the power button.

โ€“ Four result display modes to choose from:

โ€“ Horizontal and angular distance mode

โ€“ actual distance and angle mode

โ€“ Horizontal and elevation distance mode

โ€“ Actual distance and elevation mode.

โ€“ The Target Priority Switching System supports the following two measurement modes:

โ€“ The closest target priority mode displays the distance to the closest point, which is useful for measuring the distance to an object that blurs into the background

โ€“ Far target priority mode displays the distance to the farthest target of all targets e.g., handy in the woods .

โ€“ Distance display in 0.1 metre steps.

โ€“ High-quality monocular with 6x magnification and multi-layer coating provides a bright and clear image.

โ€“ Large convenient eyepiece 18 mm .

โ€“ Wide field of view 7.5 degrees .

โ€“ Large eye relief provides ease of use with goggles.

โ€“ Diopter adjustment function.

โ€“ Compact body with comfortable grip.

โ€“ Waterproof design up to 1m for 10 minutes and anti-fogging not for underwater use battery compartment protected against rain.

โ€“ Can be used in a wide temperature range: -10 to +50 ยฐC.

Key features of the LASER 30 rangefinder

โ€“ Measuring range: 7,3-1460 m

โ€“ Red internal display allows you to better see the measurement result in any situation. Automatic brightness adjustment function adjusts display brightness according to lighting.

โ€“ Fast and reliable measurements regardless of distance โ€“ the HYPER READ function gives you a result in approx. 0.3 seconds.

โ€“ Single and continuous measurement up to 8 seconds . If a single measurement fails, the Meter continues to measure automatically for 4 seconds. By holding down the power button, you can enable continuous measurement for up to 8 seconds.

โ€“ Four result display modes to choose from:

โ€“ Horizontal and angular distance mode

โ€“ Actual Distance and Angle mode

โ€“ Horizontal and elevation distance mode

โ€“ Actual distance and elevation mode.

โ€“ Target Priority Switching System supports the following two measuring modes: โ€“ The closest target priority mode displays the distance to the closest point, which is useful when measuring the distance to an object that merges with the background

โ€“ The distance to the farthest target e.g., handy in the woods is displayed in the farthest target priority mode.

โ€“ Distance display in 0.1 m increments.

โ€“ High quality monocular with 6x magnification and multi-layer coating provides a bright, clear image.

โ€“ Large easy-to-use eyepiece 18mm .

โ€“ Wide field of view 7.5 degrees .

โ€“ Large eye relief for comfortable use with goggles.

โ€“ Dioptric adjustment function.

โ€“ Compact body with comfortable grip.

โ€“ Waterproof design up to 1 m for 10 minutes and anti-fogging not intended for use under water battery compartment protection against rain.

โ€“ Usable over a wide temperature range from -10ยฐC to +50ยฐC.

The Nikon LASER 50 and LASER 30 laser distance meters sound intriguing! Iโ€™m curious to know what sets them apart from other laser distance meters on the market. What features do they offer that make them stand out? Are they accurate and easy to use? And most importantly, what is the price range?
