Mini review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera

There seems to be a renaissance in the pocket-sized versions of ultrasums. At least thatā€™s what the camera says

Lumix TZ60.Renewed backlit MOS sensor offers 18MP resolution. Optimised autofocus drive promises up to 20% improvement in focus rate at wide angle and up to 30% at telephoto. Autofocus remains active even when shooting bursts at 5 fps.

The manual focus function is bolstered by the ability to turn on the backlighting of sharp edges of objects when framing photos. This dramatically increases pointing accuracy. Focus is controlled by a wheel on the lens. In addition, it provides a quick selection of other shooting parameters: the camera supports a full set of PASM modes, as well as recording images in RAW format. The lens itself lets you see up to 30x magnification and fits almost completely inside the 34mm-thick housing when turned off.

Offering an array of shooting control tools for advanced users, the TZ60 also takes care of photographic neophytes, and in the best way possible, not only providing them with intelligent automation, not stimulating the development of shooting skills, but also teaching. Almost any camera can show lines of thirds on the screen ā€“ the simplest hint on the composition of the frame. But the TZ60 goes further and offers a choice of both golden ratio and perspective power lines, draws diagonals over a live image to bring dynamics to the frame, and helps build a complex S-shaped path for the gaze of the person who will look at the future photo. Following these tips, the user can get not only technically high-quality, but also attractive from an aesthetic point of view the frame.

Evidently, incorporating electronic viewfinders into the most inappropriate cameras has become a hot trend in Panasonicā€™s design labs. Unsuitable because the TZ60, like the LF1, does not have large dimensions and therefore there is not much room for the eyepiece optical system. Thatā€™s why the viewfinders turn out to be small, and hardly anyone will get a lot of pleasure from using them.

The video mode here is more advanced than in the other Lumix compacts in this review. Special attention should be paid to the ability to record in HD resolution at 100 fps. The built-in microphone gives a stereo signal, which the software is cleared of noise. While shooting, photos and clips can be geo-tagged with the built-in GPS GLONASS, and the finished material can be sent to a mobile device, computer or immediately published on the Web via Wi-Fi with support for the standard N.

I appreciate this mini review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera. It seems like a great option for photography enthusiasts. However, Iā€™m curious about the low-light performance of this camera. Can someone share their experience using it in challenging lighting conditions?
