MIDEA MID 60S900 dishwasher: in 90 minutes

A dishwasher is not a luxury, it’s the norm. It’s already in a lot of kitchens and should be in every kitchen. You bet it does – it cleans more thoroughly, it spends less water, and it spends less energy. The only drawback is the time: on average, a standard program takes more than two hours. And while you don’t have to stand around, you’re free to do your own thing, and, in fact, who cares how long the cycle is, many people find it stressful. “It’s a time of pace and excitement,” and we demand a machine that is fast, combined with great quality.

After reading the instructions, I immediately noticed the interesting options and programs, the high capacity of the machine and the claimed low noise level.

CONSTRUCTION

Usually the buyer pays little attention to the number and quality of sprinklers in the dishwasher, and in vain. Their work largely determines the quality of the dishwashing process.

The MIDEA MID 60S900 has three sprinklers: one above the Infinity cutlery basket, one under the bottom basket, and the main InnoWash under the top basket.

InnoWash consists of two parts. During the dishwashing process, when the whole sprinkler rotates around its circumference, its moving part also rotates around its axis. It sprays water in all directions, hitting dishes at different angles throughout the cycle, ensuring high quality washing in every corner of the dishwasher.

DISH ARRANGEMENT

There are three baskets in the machine for this:

• The bottom one, with four rows of folding rails, is designed for pots, pans, tall plates, lids, etc.d.
• The top one is suitable for washing cups, saucers, dessert plates, etc.d. On one side, there are interestingly designed rails that allow you to accurately place the glasses on high legs. Naturally, this basket has two levels. The basket is lowered or raised with just one touch tested .
  
• The cutlery basket is interesting with the possibility of changing its position. It consists of two halves, you can both tilt to the middle, you can put one flat, the other tilted or vice versa, you can install one under the other, freeing up additional space for the upper basket, you can simply remove one half.

+ It is easy to change the position of the upper basket, the design of the Infinity basket is interesting, I do not even really understand why so many different positions are provided. It’s great that you can place one part under the other, making room for tall glasses. Interestingly designed guides for placing glasses.

– You can’t put the tray in the upper basket, you have to put it sideways in the lower basket, which isn’t very convenient. True, the makers promise that their dishwashers will soon have special hooks for trays. There is a limit to the size of the plates: large sorting dishes do not fit vertically.

CONTROL

Sensors are sensitive to every touch.

After pressing the power button you select the program – the corresponding bar lights up on one side of the screen and the display shows the program time, and on the other side of the screen you see the option bar. You can select only one option for each program except for the automatic program. And the top or bottom basket wash function is available for any program, including “Automatic”, and when you turn on any of the options.

The ray on the floor helps to monitor the program while it is running. And if you press any sensor on the control panel, the display shows the remaining program time.

An audible tone alerts you at the end of the cycle.

+ It’s very simple and straightforward. You get very quickly used to the layout of the buttons and no further difficulties arise.

– At first, the names of the programs and options are missing – I would like the display to show the names of the selected functions.

FUNCTIONAL

There are programs for all occasions. It’s great that there’s an automatic mode. In this case, the machine itself detects the degree of load and dirtiness of dishes and selects the desired washing algorithm.

The economical program reduces the consumption of electricity. It should be chosen for daytime washing, when the most expensive electricity rates apply.

In addition, there is an extra saving option that can be connected to any of the programs.

Pride – 90 min program., Allowing you to wash a full dishwasher in the same amount of time. And the fast wash option cuts the time to 70 minutes! By the way, the quick wash program can be started with any program. This cuts down on cycle times and makes the programme shorter without compromising on wash quality.

The most interesting option, in my opinion, is the power washer. Selecting it increases the water pressure by 30% so that even dried-on food and sauce residues can be washed away, but the total program time is slightly longer.

The 30-minute cycle cleans dishes that got slightly dirty during the meal: bread plates, glasses in which water was poured, etc.d.

If there are few dirty dishes, you just need to click on the button to select the basket, and washing will be carried out exactly there.

The drying system has also been thought out.

Two fans on the left-hand side blows dry, room-temperature air into the chamber of the machine, while a fan on the opposite side blows hot, humid air out of the chamber. The advantages: quiet operation and not very hot plates at the end of the program.

+ Everything you need, and more, is there. And when combined with the available options, you get an excellent arsenal of programs and modes.

– I could not find it.

It goes without saying that we wanted to test the 90-minute program. But we decided to make the task as difficult as possible. I deliberately brought a pot with dried tomato paste on the bottom and a glass dish that showed signs of old dirt on the walls, where we had cooked chicken breasts with cheese and cream sauce the night before. In addition to this “heavy artillery” we placed in the machine dirty plates, tea cups, smoothie glasses, forks and spoons.

No one has ever washed such dirty dishes on this program before us! No one was sure of the result!

That’s why we did a little bit of reassurance and plugged in the heavy washing option, which increased the program by 15 minutes.

As a detergent we used tablets, sold in ordinary supermarkets. The tablets are not the best, in and of themselves they often cause complaints from users. The more interesting is the test!

So: loaded, program selected … Here we go!

TEST TOTALS

Even the representatives of the company were worried: we made a rigid test. In less than two hours we got a clean pan and a perfectly cleaned glass dish. No, it’s not as good as new, but all the fresh dirt is wonderfully cleaned and the old ones are smaller, a couple of wash cycles and the dish will sparkle!

We checked every dish, cup, spoon, there is not a single spot left.

The dishwasher gets an “A+” for such an excellent wash!

All dishes were dry, only the bottom of one upturned cup had a few drops of water on it.

Another important thing – the machine was very quiet, only at the moment of water intake we could hear the pump, all the rest of the time – silence. Sometimes it seemed like the program was already over and the machine had shut down, only the beam on the floor reminded me that the time was not over yet.

CONCLUSIONS

MIDEA MID 60S900 is awesome! And if you look at the price tag, it is safe to say that we are faced with a full-size premium dishwasher at the most affordable price on the market.

By the way, MIDEA has a free-standing model with similar features. So even if you’re not planning a renovation, you can make your life more comfortable and cozy.
