If you like to shoot nature near waterfalls, rivers and lakes, and have also been caught in the rain more than once, then Inrigo will definitely be of interest to you. The backpack is fully waterproof and equipped with Bluetooth moisture sensor.
The Inrigo is made from a double layer of high-temperature thermoplastic polyurethane TPU and offers IP78-rated protection, keeping your gear dry in heavy rain or if the backpack gets splashed in water.
If the humidity inside the backpack exceeds the allowable limit, the built-in Bluetooth sensor will send a warning signal to your smartphone, allowing you to take timely action and avoid damage to your equipment. Plus, the sensor will notify you if you accidentally forget your backpack and start to move away from it, acting as a kind of safety system.
Thanks to a special snap closure design, the Inrigo backpack opens with a strong tug, allowing for much faster access to the contents than backpacks with roll-top or waterproof zippers.
The Inrigo project was launched on Kickstarter this December. With sufficient funding, the first batch of backpacks should be available in May 2018. Backpack will be available in several versions, differing in equipment.
The description sounds interesting, but I’m curious about the features and quality of Inrigo. How well does it protect the camera from water damage? Is it spacious enough to comfortably hold all camera equipment? And does it have any smart functions beyond being waterproof?
Can the Inrigo backpack for cameras truly withstand all weather conditions, such as heavy rain or snow, without compromising the safety of the equipment inside?
