Hansa WHS 1261 DJ washing machine test: minimum buttons, maximum washing

CONTROLS ARE SIMPLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD

Now that the “washing machine” is firmly settled in every home, we want it to be not only perfectly coped with dirty laundry, but was “smart”, beautiful, convenient and understandable, so that we would not have to look before every wash in the instruction.

Many housewives are frightened by the abundance of information on the front panel-interface. There’s nothing wrong with this model. In the center there is a handy knob with 15 basic programs and on the right side there is a display. No buttons of different sizes and colors. The programmer can be turned to the right or left without any effort. It allows you to select the wash program according to the degree of dirt, the type of fabric and the number of items loaded.

LCD display shows factory settings: temperature, spin speed, soiling level and additional functions Easy Ironing and Extra Rinse , as well as delayed start, icons for closing the door, Start-Pause, program progress bar.

If you are not satisfied with the suggested temperature or spin speed, you can change the spin speed by selecting among those provided courtesy of the machine. By the way, Hansa WHS 1261 DJ can wash with cold water without heating. It’s also easy to change the degree of contamination. For dirty items add Prewash, note that the program time will increase by about 25-30 minutes.

Easy Ironing program speaks for itself. The output will be less creases and folds. The machine will automatically reduce the spin speed to 800 rpm.

Tray for detergents has three compartments: for prewash, softeners and for the main wash, in which a special plate is inserted with divisions for the liquid detergent. Convenient when no dispenser handy.

BARABANE

The pearl-shaped openings are designed to increase the washing and spinning capacity. Such a drum design safeguards the laundry from damage.

WARNING, STARTING!

So, the machine is loaded, the programs are selected, the process went on… But here comes the child, starts “twisting and poking at everything he can”… For such a situation, the manufacturers have provided Child Lock. Press and hold down both “Easy iron” and “Extra rinse” buttons for about 5 seconds to start the programme the lights and CL on the display will flash . To turn off this function, you must again hold down the same buttons.

If you are satisfied with the detergent, but don’t like the smell, or if you have people with sensitive skin, press the extra rinse button.

For allergy sufferers and small children we recommend the Anti Allergic function. This program only has an extra rinse for your clothes. The water is heated up to 30°C, so the detergents can be better rinsed out of your clothes.

If for any reason you need to postpone the start or wash at night, press “Delayed start” button and you can select time from half an hour to 23 hours. The main thing is that the machine stops before spinning and doesn’t buzz and roar when the family is asleep. In the morning, when everyone is up, you can finish washing.

The outermost button on the display is the “Start-Pause” button. She is the one who starts the wash. If you suddenly need to stop the process, press it – the button will flash. Want to soak the laundry for the best effect – run the program after 10 minutes.

TESTED UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS

For this test, we chose the most common, “people’s” laundry detergent, bought in a chain store. We do not mention the name of the device so that they do not consider it an advertisement . No additional items of detergent were added during the wash. The water in the machine was a well of +4°C, which may have increased the heating time. All the conditions for connecting the device were met in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations: connection to water, drainage, the level in different planes.

FOR A TOTAL OF 12 MINUTES

“Twelve Minute” decided to additionally test it on synthetics as well. Used heavily soiled tulle and curtains.

The test subjects were hanging in a room with a wood-burning fireplace and were naturally a little “smoky”.

In 12 minutes we got the clean tulle out of the drum, without any crumbs at all! After a short drying it was possible to hang up on the ledge ! Cheers!! Didn’t need any ironing at all!!! The clothes didn’t crumple thanks to the low water temperature only 20°C and the spacious 9-kg drum 61-liter .

AND WINNIE THE FLUFF WON’T GET STUCK

It was decided to check the convenience of a large hatch lid 47 cm in diameter, the hatch itself 33 cm . What could be stuffed in there and how would it fit in the big drum?

Was found a bulk men’s jacket size 52 made of microfiber with a synthetic insulation and an additional lining. The jacket is not new, it has never been washed and in its “parade life” surrendered exclusively to the dry cleaners. Last winter it was used in the country for chopping firewood and carrying it from the street to the fireplace. Naturally, the wear and tear was decent and even. Clean, practically, only the back is left. We chose the Eco 20 program, t.k. At higher temperatures and a more “hard” wash, the fabric could have gotten very “frayed”.

No one expected it to be perfectly laundered. However, after 1 hour and 40 minutes from the drum was taken completely clean jacket, no creases, folds, just like new. Even a badly frayed collar got clean! Rated A-OK!

EXPRESSIONS

Easy and intuitive to operate. It is quiet and obedient in operation. Starts shaking and vibrating only when wringing, and only within tolerance. The display is bright, sunlight or weak light does not interfere with it. Figures and symbols are large, clearly visible even to the visually impaired, without glasses.

The programs are sufficiently diverse, and given that you can include additional functions, their options are greatly expanded.

Cotton tablecloths and trendy white linens can be practically boiled at +90 ° C, and Eco 20 will not only save electricity but also gently washes your clothes with a little warm water.

The Blanket program saves you the trouble of going to the dry cleaner’s with bulky bales! This is a real time and money saver for the hostess. Now it is no problem to gently wash woollen clothes, too.

Handheld mode is a must for women’s lingerie and delicates. Sports clothes, synthetics, husband and son’s shirts will also look great with special programs.

IMPORTANT

During the test, the machine stopped because of a disconnected pump. The display immediately showed “explanation” E002 and the “faucet in a triangle” image. Even without manual, it is clear that the problem is in the plumbing. Once the pump started working, the process continued from the same point. If there is a problem with electricity, after fixing the problem the machine will continue its work from the place where it stopped.

GUARANTEE

The manufacturer recommends cleaning the pump filter after 20 washings

The lid can be removed with the easy press of a coin or screwdriver.

The water faucet filter needs to be cleaned as needed.

The detergent tray must be cleaned once a month otherwise the fungus can get established. How to do all this is described in detail in the manual.

If you are installing the washing machine yourself, you should pay special attention to the fact that the drain hose must be fixed so that it does not move during operation and enters the drain max 100 cm /min 60 cm from the floor. Significant changes in parameters can affect the quality of work.
