Expanding the NIKON Z family with the mirror-less Z50 DX-format camera and the first NIKKOR Z DX lenses

Nikon introduces the Nikon Z 50, the first mirrorless Z-series DX-format camera, and its first two NIKKOR Z DX zoom lenses: the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR. The all-new Nikon Z 50 delivers stunning image quality: detailed, vivid and deep, perfectly focused photos and 4K movies. The Z 50 with the new NIKKOR Z DX lenses captures beautiful images, from wide-angle to telephoto, thanks to the new mirrorless DX-format camera system.

With a large 20.9MP DX sensor, the Nikon Z 50 offers the optical advantages of Nikon’s mirrorless cameras in a rugged, compact DX body. This model inherits from the popular Nikon Z 7 and Z 6 cameras a wide Nikon Z mount and fast hybrid AF. The Nikon Z 50 features a sharp electronic viewfinder and tiltable touch screen, and the large protrusion on the body makes it very comfortable to hold, just like other Nikon mirrorless cameras.

Intelligent AF with eye recognition makes the Nikon Z 50 ideal for portraits, and continuous shooting at up to 11 frames per second with AF/AE helps capture motion. The Nikon Z 50 is fully compatible with the FTZ mount adapter, allowing you to use NIKKOR lenses with F mount .Both DX-format lenses with the Z bayonet are optimized to realize the stunning light-gathering capabilities of Nikon’s wide Z bayonet.
