With a reproduction ratio of 1:1, smooth focusing and superb detail, the professional NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2 lens.8 VR S is great for capturing life-size subjects. It is optimized for macro photography and video, and the angle of view equivalent to a mid-range telephoto lens makes it great for detailed portraits. Sharpness and contrast are superb, as is bokeh. Controls are precise and convenient. The photographer can change the direction of the focus ring, which is especially handy when working with different brands of systems.

The new NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 is a versatile lens that brings out the beauty in even the most ordinary things. Photographers can easily take sharp, life-size 1:1 shots and stunning macro shots of small objects – from food to flowers – while still retaining detail. Focus remains fast and sharp, even when the distance between the lens and the subject is only 5.6 cm! With its 50mm focal length, photographers can also create portraits and street shots with natural perspective.

Dirk Jasper, product marketing manager for Nikon’s European division, notes: “The 105mm macro lens adds tremendous macro capabilities to the Z-series and is great for professionals and amateurs alike. The more compact and affordable model also has something to offer: the 50mm macro lens is ideal for starting out in macro photography. Even if you just need a versatile 50mm lens for quality portrait close-ups, you’ve found it.

Donna Crous, food photographer and European Nikon Ambassador, says: “I was lucky enough to work with the new NIKKOR Z 105mm macro lens as part of Nikon’s &bdquo Create Your Light. I was impressed with the quality of the pictures, especially in low light conditions. For food photographers looking for shallow depth of field, fast focus speeds and beautiful bokeh – the neat blur circles in the image are sure to impress anyone!”.

Professional f/2.8 mid-range telephoto lens for macro photography: a new level of optical performance for the S-line. Smooth and silent multi-drive focusing.

Realistic images with exceptional depth: The wide Z mount, constant aperture of f/2.8 and 9-blade aperture with rounded aperture produce naturally rounded bokeh.

High definition: ARNEO anti-reflective coating and Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat prevent ghosting and flare. Built-in lens vibration reduction system combined with the camera’s VR functions ensure sharp, tripod-less shooting even in low light conditions.

Precise macro shots: the minimum focus distance of 0.29m and focus limit switch let you bring your subjects within 0.29m to 0.5m of the lens more quickly. When focusing manually, you can adjust the familiar sensitivity of the focus ring.

Video shooting in macro mode: appreciate the quiet AF and smooth, stable aperture control. “Focus breathing” is virtually non-existent, so focus changes will have no noticeable effect on the angle of view.

Nikon’s flexibility: you can easily change the direction of rotation of the focus ring, as well as attach the 62mm screw-in filters from the famous AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 105mm lens.

Built to work: all moving lens parts and mount are reliably protected against dust and water droplets. Nikon-developed fluorine coatings reliably protect the lens from water, dust and dirt.
