Canon digital cameras

Designed to make it easy to share photos and video clips with friends and family online, the IXUS 255 HS and IXUS 135 are the latest additions to Canon’s expanding family of Wi-Fi cameras. Easily connect to smartphones and tablets to upload images to popular social networking sites, and the GPS function via a mobile device to add location data to pictures taken while traveling.

High quality shooting

Canon’s full range of compact cameras from entry level to advanced, make it easy to capture high quality photos and movies that are fun to share. The 16-megapixel sensors in the IXUS 135, IXUS 132 and PowerShot A2500 cameras combine with Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor to record images that can be printed with natural color reproduction and minimal noise even if you want a poster-sized photo.

Perfect for capturing family occasions, travel, and everyday events. The IXUS 255 HS uses Canon’s top-of-the-line HS system: A 12.1Mpixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5 processor give you great low light results, so you can capture sunsets or evening events with less flash.

Canon’s extensive experience in optical system development has resulted in the superior specifications and compact size of the new models. The IXUS 255 HS’s 24mm ultra-wide angle lens with 10x optical zoom gets you that much closer to the action, so you can capture every detail in the frame.

The IXUS 135 and IXUS 132 come with a 28mm 8x optical zoom lens in an ultra-slim body that fits in your pocket. Advanced optical image stabilization with Intelligent IS technology selects one of seven[1] modes to compensate for camera shake and produce smooth video and sharp photos even in challenging conditions.

All new models also feature high-quality digital ZoomPlus technology, which doubles the optical zoom without loss of image detail.

Unleash your creativity

All four new cameras are designed to make creative photography and HD video shooting easier than ever. The new entry-level IXUS and PowerShot models feature Smart Auto, which recognizes up to 32 scene types and selects the most appropriate settings to create the perfect shot.

Creative modes like miniature, toy camera, fish eye and monochrome effects can be used to enhance, add impact or create unusual perspectives.

The IXUS 255 HS also features a new Hybrid Auto mode, which offers an ingenious approach to effortlessly creating high quality photos and HD movies. Hybrid Auto mode uses Smart Auto and Scene Recognition to record up to four seconds of video before each time the shutter is released for still photography.

All of the video clips shot during the day are then combined into a single “as it was” clip that can be posted online so your friends can see the process of creating a photo collection.

Inspiring communication: anytime, anywhere

With the IXUS 255 HS and IXUS 135 cameras, it’s easy to share photos with family and friends via social media, smartphones and tablets. Wi-Fi[2] lets you connect the camera to your smartphone or tablet and upload photos directly to Facebook, Twitter or YouTube using Canon’s CameraWindow app.

With GPS on your mobile device, you can add GPS location data recorded by your smartphone to your photos, and each shot will be matched to the location where it was taken.

Stylish design, perfect compactness

The new IXUS models feature a stylish metal body. Compact and sleek, they’ll slip easily into a pocket or purse. The IXUS 135, IXUS 132 and PowerShot A2500 have a large 6.7 cm 2.7 inch screen, while the IXUS 255 HS has a high-quality 7.5 cm 3 inch PureColor II G LCD screen with 460K resolution. The 7.5cm 3in PureColor II G display is perfect for framing and viewing your shots in great detail, with excellent color reproduction even at acute angles and in bright sunlight.

All four models feature the new Eco Mode, which extends camera uptime by conserving battery life and captures up to 30% more photos – great for long family outings or vacations.
