First Impression

The Candy RapidO RO4 H7A1TCEX-07 dries up to 7kg of clothes in a single cycle, but it’s also compact – it’s only 47cm deep.

The machine is easy to place at home it has no water connection. Can be installed on the washing machine requires an inexpensive attachment, which is sold on the website of the company’s online store , or placed separately in any place in the apartment, even on the loggia. The only limitation: the machine is quite loud, so you need to find a place where its noise will not disturb you.

The Candy RapidO dryer is, like the washing machine in this range, a great design. They have the same Smart Concole panel.

The programs are selected by means of the Smart Ring rotary wheel and the display shows a description and the parameters of the cycle.

You can enable remote control and use your smartphone as a remote.

Programs and options

I tested the Candy RapidO RO4 H7A1TCEX-07 dryer for over a month, and it tested all the programs.

• “Daily Perfect 59′” is a fast cycle that provides the best drying. 2kg load.
• “Everyday 45′” – fast for everyday clothes with a set turnaround time. Loading 1.5kg.
• “Eco 30” – fast for small loads, providing maximum time and energy savings. 1 kg loading.
• “Refresh” 20 min : for removing unpleasant smells from bedclothes and smoothing out creases. 2 kg load.
• “Sport” – for specialised sports and fitness garments, with gentle drying and care to prevent the fibres from shrinking. 3kg load.
• “No creases” 12 minutes is a warm cycle that helps smooth out creases and creases in just 12 minutes. 2 kg load.
• “Partial load” for even drying of very small loads up to 1.5kg.
• WOOLMARK for drying woollens of up to 1 kg.
• “Shirts” – for drying shirts with minimum creases thanks to special drum movements. 2 kg load.
• “Synthetics – for drying synthetic fabrics, which need a special gentle mode. Loading 3 kg.
• “Dark and Colored” – a delicate and special cycle for drying dark and colored clothing items. Loading 3kg.

Some programs can be further adjusted: the time can be changed and “Super Easy Ironing” can be set, changing the drum motion algorithm to reduce the number of thermal creases on the fabric.

You can also change the residual moisture level by selecting options:

• “Superdry: for completely dry clothes.
• “Closet dryer: The laundry can be put directly into the closet.
• “Drying on the rack”: your clothes will be ready to hang up.
• “Ready for ironing”: things will stay slightly damp, which makes ironing easier.

All the changes you make to the standard program can be saved thanks to the memory button and used for the next drying cycles of the same type of fabric.

When switching on the delayed start, the option “Easy ironing” activates the movement of the drum every 10 minutes for a maximum of 6 hours after the end of the cycle .

Features

Condensate containers

Water removed from laundry is collected in a container located on the door. When it is full, the indicator light on the control panel lights up. However, the manufacturer recommends pouring out the water after each use of the dryer.

Candy supports the idea of rational use of resources, so the container is made in the form of an EasyCase spout. It is easy to remove and put back in, and the water can be used for watering your houseplants, for example.

Cleaning the filters

Special filter traps fine particles and the self-cleaning condenser system extends the life of all components and makes it easy to clean.

It is advisable to clean the main filter after each cycle, as well as the bottom filter located on the bottom of the machine. A clogged filter can lead to longer drying times, damage and higher drying costs. Filters are easy to remove.

What you can’t

1. Load the drum with wet laundry that drips water.
2. Dry silk, nylon stockings, delicate embroidery, fabrics with metal embellishments, rubber clothing and clothing with PVC or leather trim.

Heat pump

The Candy RO4 H7A1TCEX-07 dryer is equipped with an economical Heat Pump.

Advantages

• The laundry is dried at lower temperatures than conventional condensing machines without a heat pump.

Test # 1. Quick programs

The short drying programs I used most often. “Sport”, “Refresh” in 20 minutes, “No creases” in 12 minutes, Half-load and “Daily Dry” modes in 45 minutes made it easy to handle situations where you need to dry just a few things for an urgent business meeting, vacation or next workout.

Result

The humidity level of the laundry on these cycles is “under the iron”, they are moist.

The “Sport” program can optionally include “Superdry”, which increases the cycle time to 1 hour and 45 minutes, but allows you to achieve completely dry clothes.

Test no. 2. Linens, blankets and quilts

I used to dry my linens a lot, so the second most popular program was “White Cotton”. This standard drying cycle is the most energy-efficient and best suited for drying damp cotton items.

• Loading capacity of 7kg by comparison synthetic or delicates max 3kg .
• The time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and when the option “Superdry” is turned on – 3 hours.

To dry large plaids, I used the “Dark and Colored” program with the “Super Dry” connected.

Result

Comfort is something you get used to very quickly, and dry sheets and soft fluffy plaids are quickly becoming the norm.

I especially like the fact that cat hair and other particles stay in the filter. Especially noticeable when drying black clothes: dried a black sweater, to which everything is sticky, and no lint.

Test #3. Jeans

My next most popular program is “Jeans”. Immediately provides “Super Dry”, jeans completely dry in 2 hours. Better to turn them inside out before drying or washing them.

Test #4. Hair

I just couldn’t resist trying the Wool program – I was very curious to see how the Candy RapidO would cope with this task. But it was a little scary.

I plucked up the courage, washed my favorite sweater and sent it to dry on the “Wool” program for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I reassured myself that the Candy machine has a heat pump that dries laundry at low temperatures, which keeps things from shrinking and deforming.

Result

A little more than an hour and I have a fluffy, dry sweater in my hands. It’s getting cooler, so we can go for a walk. My favorite sweater didn’t shrink or suffer in any way.

Test #5. Wi-Fi control

The Candy RO4 H7A1TCEX-07 dryer can be controlled remotely through the Simply-Fi app, with additional drying programs, customizing your own programs, drying tips, and care tips for the machine. There are over 20 more cycles in the app – for just about any drying need.

Result

Everything works, but now I have two apps on my smartphone to control my Candy appliances: Simply-Fi and hOn.

The Candy RapidO RO4 H7A1TCEX-07 dryer fit into my household.

I can’t imagine how to hang laundry to dry, take it off the ropes, and the loggia is more spacious.

In the month of the test, the machine helped me quickly prepare for an unexpected business trip, dried my sports clothes after workouts, and saved me from having to hang my bulky linens.

Not a single thing ripped, deformed or shrunk.

What’s more, the problem of cat hair, which previously had to be cleaned using a roller with duct tape, is solved. Now all the wool stays in the filters, not on the fabrics.

Variety of programs, drying all kinds of fabrics, lots of useful options, delayed start.
