At the end of 2010 a new BORK boutique was opened in the “Vremena Goda” shopping center on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, which became the embodiment of the brand’s latest design concept. New BORK interior solution developed by German designers and implemented by renowned German architectural bureau Ganter GmbH.
Behind the glass doors of the 67 sq. The new, exceptionally stylish and fashionable store is located in the “Vremeny Goda” shopping center. The key interior solution was a minimalist design with lots of decorative elements, such as a ceiling box, free-standing cubic cabinets and sales counter, niche cabinets made of wood and white artificial stone, orange lightbox showcases at the entrance.
Along the perimeter in the alcove areas and on the main axis of the store on display cubes there are BORK home collection masterpieces supplemented by the latest novelties – K810 teapot and Q700 and Q710 air washers.
The noble and graphic lines of the cubic cabinets are achieved by respecting strict proportions and a discerning choice of materials. The distinctive walnut wood grain used for the boxes emphasizes the noble lines of the equipment on display. All pieces of the BORK collection are beaten up by complex lighting.
Niche showcases along the perimeter of walls are made of white monolith of artificial stone without any visible joints. This architectural solution gives rise to the feeling of a single space, which encircles the salon by a white band around its perimeter. Translucent lighting, hidden in the sides, gives a steady white glow, which effectively emphasizes the strict – glass and metal – solution of BORK collection in high-tech style.
An orange module hovers above the exhibition area – the ceiling box in the center organizes the space, deepening and transforming it, reflecting many times the strict lines of spotlights.
The supporting structure of the box is made of anodized aluminum with inserts of glass with colored prints in the BORK style: information of flame, fire and energy read in a new context. The ceiling box is one of the main carriers, which form the structure of the boutique space, while it also plays a quite utilitarian role – it provides light to the display cases and showcases.
The far wall, opposite to the entrance to the boutique, is made of massive walnut panels, on which the BORK logo is placed. White lettering illuminated on the back, contrasting with the flat, dark background, maximizes visitors’ attention to the company name. The subtlety of the designer’s work with the thickness and size of the BORK letters in relation to the size of the wall gives them sufficient clarity: BORK does not shout at everyone who enters it intelligently shows where the visitor has entered.
Sales counter turned into one of the main elements of the room. It is made of anodized aluminum, which gives a strong allusion to the usual matte finish of metal surfaces of the BORK collection, also presented in the open showcases of the store.
Almost half of one wall is occupied by an open cabinet with diverse shelving, illuminated through frosted glass. The wall imitates a living interior, in which favorite BORK appliances live in their usual habitat – between a cookbook, family photos and jars of homemade jam.
The outstanding interior of the new BORK boutique can be rightly assessed right now, at the intersection of Kutuzovsky Prospekt and Minskaya Street, in the “Vremena Goda” shopping center.
