Zyxel Networks released two new firewalls USG FLEX 100W and USG FLEX 700 together with the ZLD 4 firmware version in America and CIS.60, which improves the functionality and performance of the company’s entire line of security gateways. Significant acceleration of SSL inspections
ZLD 4 firmware.60, released today by Zyxel, provides 3-5x faster SSL traffic inspection performance than the previous firmware version. This was accomplished in field testing of Zyxel firewalls using HTTPS with default device settings: firewall routing, NAT and ADP enabled. This means that by using existing USG FLEX hardware, you can significantly speed up encryption/decryption of traffic and reduce latency associated with certificate generation.
TLS 1 support.3 strengthens security
Enhanced SSL inspection also supports the latest version of Transport Layer Security TLS , used to protect traffic between servers and their clients. Support for TLS 1.3 will help Zyxel users more effectively ward off the most dangerous cyberattacks.
Comprehensive reputation analysis service
In addition to the IP and URL reputation services already available, the ZLD 4 firmware.60 Implemented DNS Reputation service based on McAfee technologies. These three services, used in the Zyxel ATP series products, provide a comprehensive, reliable solution that prevents users from visiting compromised domains with dangerous content and blocks access to certain sites. Analysis data from reputation services can be easily viewed in the Zyxel SecuReporter console, so network administrators can always monitor user visits to suspicious domains, risks and types of requests to search services.
