Zyxel Networks introduced the broadest selection of Wi-Fi 6 access points for businesses

Zyxel Networks introduced two new models of Wi-Fi 6 access points WAX610D and NWA210AX in America and CIS. The devices complement Zyxel’s family of Wi-Fi 6 access points, offering small and medium-sized business SMB customers the widest range of such devices.

Introduction of New Wireless Standard 802.4 GHz.11ax offers many advantages, including faster data transfer speeds and improved connection stability. But in order to keep costs down, some manufacturers are implementing support for the new standard in their SMB Wi-Fi 6 access points only when using the 5 GHz wireless frequency. When connected to these devices at 2.4 GHz, the connection will be at a significantly slower speed than a decade ago’s Wi-Fi 4 technology. As a result of limiting the frequency used to only 5 GHz, the effect of switching to Wi-Fi 6 technology is significantly reduced.

Maximizing the use of the most important Wi-Fi update in 10 years

Frequency 2.4 GHz is still in active use. It is better suited than 5 GHz for Wi-Fi deployment scenarios where maximum distance from client devices is important, at low density of wireless clients or when wireless network traffic is low, such as inside warehouses and small retail stores. Wi-Fi 6 support when using frequency 2.4 GHz improves wireless connectivity, reduces data latency, reduces audio/video jerks and pauses, and nearly doubles network throughput compared to access points that use Wi-Fi 4 at 2.4 GHz wireless networks.

The entire portfolio of Zyxel Wi-Fi 6 access points, including the new WAX610D and NWA210AX, support the full functionality of Wi-Fi 6 technology for both 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz along with full Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing OFDMA support. All Zyxel Wi-Fi 6 access points are equipped with the powerful quad-core Qualcomm A53 enterprise-class CPU for uninterrupted wireless traffic.

Preparing businesses for the pandemic era

Zyxel Wi-Fi 6 access point models support multiple management options, including standalone mode, controller-controlled mode, and management via the centralized Zyxel Nebula system, making it easier and more convenient to organize workplaces with social distance requirements. With control from the Nebula cloud, users can monitor and manage their network from a user-friendly interface anytime, anywhere. Meanwhile, Wireless Health, using artificial intelligence and machine learning, automatically diagnoses and optimizes wireless connection quality, saving the network administrator time and effort.

“When a company buys a Wi-Fi 6 access point, it expects that the cost will not be in vain, that the quality and speed of the wireless network will improve. So it’s important to choose a device that offers the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 for both the 2 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.4 GHz, as well as 5 GHz. These are the criteria that Zyxel Wi-Fi 6 access points meet,” said Crowley Wu, vice president of Zyxel Networking SBU. – With the addition of two new models to the family, we now offer SMBs the broadest range of Wi-Fi access points in the world. From affordable entry-level models to top-of-the-line models that support smart antennas for deploying a wireless network in a variety of scenarios and applications.”.
