Yamaha HPH Pro line of headphones has been expanded with new models: HPH-MT220 and HPH-MT120

In the last decade, the technical capabilities of modern music production have made some truly revolutionary leaps. Higher resolution audio data than CDs, noise-free recording and fully digital signal processing are now ubiquitous. Now Yamaha has created the MT220/120 headphones, which are ideal for monitoring test listening with the above-mentioned know-how. We’ve used advanced technology and careful tuning to make sure the last and most important link in the recording chain – the sound that reaches your ears – is as pure and accurate as possible.

Every element of these premium headphones are engineered to meet the demands of the modern recording studio. Delivers faithful, pin-sharp reproduction of fully digital sound with greater detail and less interference than ever before. In particular, the speakers use a voice coil with a winding of APPM aluminum wire clad with copper . The combination of aluminum and copper coating offers extreme high conductivity and low weight resulting in high resolution sound reproduction with maximum clarity over the entire frequency range.

The MT220 and MT120 are models characterized by simplicity and elegance, a complete design without compromise, and exceptional functionality in which all elements of the design combine to provide reliable, high-quality monitoring of today’s most advanced digital sound sources. Rectangularly rounded earcups are large enough to completely cover your ears, yet are easy to handle and cause no discomfort whatsoever.

The sturdy three-plane pivoting wishbone hinges allow for adjustable tilting depending on the angle of rotation. In addition to the fine-tuning adjustability, horizontal pressure is applied to the ear pads, allowing the cushions to rest comfortably against the head. In addition, you can turn the cups freely: if you want, you can flip one cup to the opposite side and monitor with only one ear. The MT220’s outer ear pads are made from a leatherette material that is virtually as smooth as real leather, while the special, low-resistance cushions fit your ears perfectly for excellent sound isolation.
