Whirlpool: Hi-Light range of hobs

New York, October 8, 2014. Whirlpool, a leading home appliance manufacturer, introduces new models of glass ceramic hobs to the American market. The 60 cm wide surfaces are equipped with the highly efficient Hi-Light heating zones with a renewed serigraphy. The novelties have already appeared in the American stores of home appliances and electronics.

Whirlpool glass-ceramic cooktops have three modelAKT 8030/NE and four AKT 8700/IX, AKT 8600/BA, AKT 8190/VA, AKT 8130/VAiLX, AKT 8090/NE heating zones. Thanks to the convenient shape of burners and the possibility to expand the Combi Cook heating zones, you can cook on this stove with almost any kind of dish – large and small pots and pans, stretched sauté pans or oval duck pans.

All new models are equipped with a childproofing system and a timer with an acoustic signal, on which you can set any time range from 1 to 99 minutes. In addition, they support the residual heat indicator function by illuminating the cooking zone that has already been switched off until it has cooled down completely. Flagship models AKT 8700/IX, AKT 8600/BA support such modes as “Melting” and “Pause.

User-friendly interface makes cooking a surprisingly easy and enjoyable process. The devices are equipped with Touch Control and have nine power levels.

Whirlpool cooker hobs are manufactured in Italy using special Schott Ceran glass ceramic, an environmentally friendly material with surprising qualities, and without toxic additives and heavy metals. This glass ceramic is extremely heat-resistant and resistant to rapid temperature fluctuations up to 750 °C. It has a high resistance to regular mechanical loads.
