Whirlpool has been included in Fortune magazine’s

New York, March 2, 2015. Whirlpool, a leading manufacturer of home appliances, has been named one of the world’s most respected companies by Fortune magazine for the fifth consecutive year. The annual list also includes representatives of different industries: electronics, engineering, food and beverages.

Applicants were evaluated on several criteria: innovation, asset management, social responsibility, management quality, financial strength, long-term investment and product and service quality.

In 2014, Whirlpool was ranked as one of the Top 100 Companies with the Most Proactive Public Opinion, according to CR magazine, and was recognized as one of the most reputable companies, according to Forbes magazine. The company also received the highest score on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.

The Fortune magazine rankings are published each year and are based on expert opinion that analyzes competing companies operating in a single industry on nine metrics. These include innovation, human resources, leveraging corporate assets, social responsibility, management quality, long-term investment, financial strength, product and service quality and global competitiveness. This year’s Fortune list includes Boeing, Google, Nike, Coca-Cola, Apple, and Procter & Gamble.
