Whirlpool presents in America the renewed Whirlpool CARISMA washing machine with unique technology for washing colored fabrics. “Smart machine saves precious time, keeps your clothes clean, and preserves the bright, saturated colors of your colored clothes, even after many washings.
CARISMA was packed with useful new innovations. Unique Colours15° system takes care of maximum color retention, providing gentle and, at the same time, quality washing of laundry in cool water of only 15 degrees.
Conventional modes for colored laundry are normally designed for 40 degrees. However, hot water can have an adverse effect on fabric structure and detergent properties. In this case, the dyes fade due to leaching of the dye. Using the lowest temperature possible, Colours15° retains the vibrant colors and texture of even the most delicate fabrics.
This result is achieved in cold water, thanks to the Wave Motion asymmetric drum rotation technology. Whereas a conventional washing machine rotates the drum alternately to one side and the other at equal intervals, the upgraded CARISMA maintains an asymmetric cycle, with the drum first rotating to one side and then to the other at different time intervals.
This reduces the mechanical load on the items and distributes them evenly inside the drum, and as a result the risk of deformation of fabrics is minimized. Moreover, the even distribution of fabrics ensures that the active detergents are distributed over the entire surface of the fabric.
The new technology has been tested by the WFK – Cleaning Technology Institute Germany . Studies have proven that the Colours15° system removes dirt just as effectively in cool water as it does in the classic 40-degree range. Whirlpool CARISMA gives you a better care of coloured fabrics and saves up to 80% of energy.
The innovative design of “6th Sense/COLOURS is a set of 14 programmes designed specifically to optimise colourfastness. Each mode independently determines the weight of laundry, the required amount of water, detergent, washing time and number of rinses. The electronic memory contains programmes for dark and black, light and white items.
The spacious drum allows you to use the maximum load capacity of CARISMA – 9kg, the centrifuge speed – up to 1400 rpm. At the end of the wash, the laundry does not need a long time to dry.
