What? Where? When? – Zyxel SecuReporter answers all your network security questions

Maintaining the security of a distributed network is not only difficult, but also costly. Small and Medium Businesses SMBs are just as vulnerable to cyberattacks and data breaches as large corporations, so they need to monitor and respond to risks in real time. Zyxel Communications has launched the SecuReporter web service for this purpose. The service is a cloud-based network security monitoring and analysis solution that not only provides detailed traffic and threat intelligence based on collected data, but also allows you to react quickly.

Service portal and SecuReporter mobile app “Cybercrime will cost $6 trillion annually by 2021, so every company should be concerned about protecting their network,” said Dean Shih, senior vice president AVP of Zyxel’s Gateway SBU business. – However, most network traffic monitoring and analysis solutions are so expensive that not even all large corporations can afford them.”.

“SecuReporter is a cloud-based SaaS Software As A Service service, so you don’t have to spend money on infrastructure and hardware deployment to use it, which makes it affordable. It does not require a dedicated server, significantly reducing the initial price of the solution.

A detailed, real-time view of network security SecuReporter uses a full range of analysis and reporting tools to process every packet of data that enters the company’s network. With the information this service provides, the system administrator can accurately identify security threats and set optimal protection policies for the entire network. In addition, correlation of traffic data with user behavior analytics provides network map monitoring, which makes it very easy to quickly assess the health of a network spanning multiple sites.

SecuReporter data and analytics can be easily recorded and shared through customizable reports. These reports are generated on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule and user-defined names and graphs can be added to them.

In addition to accessing the service via the portal from a PC, the SecuReporter app also sends alerts to the mobile devices of system administrators, helping them to monitor network conditions and detect problems and cyberattacks in real time.

Small Business and Service Provider Personnel in the SMB Industry can easily incorporate and leverage SecuReporter’s analytics. If the network speed is slow, with a few clicks of the mouse, the administrator can find out what’s causing the problem for example, if someone on the network has connected to a streaming video server or is downloading torrents .

With SecuReporter, it’s easier for service providers to sell real-time security services to customers, and instant alerts allow for immediate protection and recovery measures once a threat is detected. SecuReporter’s flexible privacy settings help ensure compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws.

SecuReporter will first be available for Zyxel’s advanced ATP series security gateways, and in the coming months for the entire line of Zyxel ZyWALL gateways. ZyWALL users will be offered a free 30-day evaluation of SecuReporter or a one-year subscription to the service with support for up to one thousand devices per account.

To get started, you must register on the SecuReporter portal and activate the appropriate license on the device itself. SecuReporter will be available to Zyxel customers in America starting November 1, 2018, and the mobile app will be available in the first quarter of 2019.
