So, the progress has reached: robots are used to clean
But American housewives are used to keeping everything under control and it is unusual to entrust the cleaning to a robot. Could it do better than man??

In one of the issues of “The Consumer” magazine. Home appliances”, dedicated to the achievements and results of the decade, we talked about the technology of the future. But the fact that it really is closer and more accessible than it seems, we were convinced, talking with Roman Black, the sales manager of the company “RobZone.Ru”, the American representative of the manufacturer of robotic vacuum cleaners of the RobZone brand.

“BT”: So, what progress has reached: robots are cleaning
But American housewives are used to keep everything under control and it is somehow unusual to entrust the cleaning to a robot. Can it do better than a human??

r. Black: Our robot-vacuum cleaner is designed to help people, and it is absolutely obedient. And it is probably impossible to answer the question if it can cope with cleaning better than a human. On the one hand, it is hardly imaginable that anyone can clean better than our dear women.

On the other hand, you can set the cleaning program for a week in advance and not worry: in your absence the house will be cleaned in order. Our robots are simply excellent at cleaning carpets and all smooth floor coverings: linoleum, tiles, laminate, hardwood floors and parquet, and thanks to the ultraviolet lamp they also destroy bacteria on the floor.

“BT”: And who is the main buyer of robot vacuum cleaners?? Is this technique “for the lazy,” or, conversely, is it bought by busy people who are very demanding to clean?

r. Black: People who are not used to or do not want to bother with the chore, robot vacuum cleaners are very popular. But our main target customers are busy, successful people who just don’t have time to properly keep their minds clean because of their busy schedules and busy free time.

“BT”: What advantages RobZone robot vacuum cleaners have??

r. Black: First of all it is a surface disinfecting ultraviolet lamp, which has already been mentioned. An important advantage is the big dust canister with a capacity of 1000 ml, as well as the five-stage filtration system, which not only retains even the smallest dust particles but also eliminates the unpleasant smell.

And, of course, the magnificent design and carefree thinking of each model down to the smallest detail. No dust bag is important for hygiene and saving: you do not need to spend time and money for a dust bag.

“BT”: By the way, are robots capricious in care and maintenance?

r. Black: You only need to spend a few minutes after cleaning and it will thank you with reliable and long-lasting service. It is the same as for a usual vacuum cleaner: you need to regularly empty the garbage from the dust bag, control the level of dirt on the brushes and clean them if necessary, from time to time clean or replace the filters, wipe the dust from all the moving sensors.

“BT”: Many people are interested in purely technical questions: Whether the robot “sees” the dirt or just covers the entire space, how it copes with thresholds and long pile carpets, how it bypasses obstacles, what area can be cleaned at one time?

r. Black: Of course, a robot covers the whole area of the room, and it cleans very dirty areas more carefully. It is made possible thanks to special sensors for cleanliness.

It has to get over a rug with a pile up to 1.5 cm high, and it has to get over a rug with a pile up to 1.5 cm long, so it has no trouble at all. It also maneuvers around obstacles in a flash the robot is alerted to these obstacles by special sensors. The robot can clean up to 100 square kilometers per square meter and is capable of cleaning up to 120 square meters. m.

“BT”: A practical question: how long does the robot need to clean a room with an area of 50 sq.m.?. m?

r. Black: Cleaning time depends not on the size of the cleaned area, but on the battery power. The vacuum cleaner will sweep the room until it runs out of charge. The robot then finds the charging base on the floor, connects to it and automatically charges the battery.

For small areas it is better to use the shortened programs for 30 or 15 minutes. For cleaning a 50 square meter room, the robot is a good choice. The robot vacuum sweeps over each area two or three times, according to the cleaning program.

A normal cleaning on a smooth surface takes about 70 minutes, on a carpet about 45 minutes, but it all depends on the autonomy time of the particular model.

“BT”: What criteria should be considered when choosing a model? Only the area of the room?

r. Black: Another thing to consider is whether you have pets, how often you’re going to use the robot and where it will work home or office , what coating there.

Also important is what kind of battery in the model. There are a number of practical recommendations that we give customers when choosing.

First, you must measure the height of the space under the furniture: it must exceed the height of the robot vacuum cleaner at least 1 cm. The height of the models of the series ROOMY – 11 cm, a robot-vacuum cleaner series ROBEE – from 8,7 to 9 cm.

Secondly, if you have electrical wires or fragile decorations on the floor, or planters with plants, the best choice is a model with a motion limiter, the so-called virtual wall.

Third, when installing an alarm in the apartment, check the possibility of programming it to a mode that takes into account the presence of pets in the house and does not respond to motion: then the robot vacuum cleaner will be able to clean in your absence.

In addition, robot-vacuum cleaners are not recommended for cleaning glass floors and surfaces painted black, as they can reduce the efficiency of the robot-vacuum cleaner sensors, disrupt and create technical problems.

“BT”: This time the issue of our magazine is devoted to environmental technology. What about this parameter of robot vacuum cleaners?

r. Black: Compared to an ordinary vacuum cleaner, a robot vacuum cleaner uses 6 times less energy and is more efficient. So the robot can become a worthy resident of the eco-house.

“BT”: And finally, the last question: do you have a robot vacuum cleaner at home??

r. Black: Yes, we don’t have any “cobblers without boots. For the new year our Austrian management decided to present each employee with a new model of robot-vacuum cleaner.

But to be honest, if it had not happened, I would have bought it myself: in fact, at demonstrations of its capabilities I constantly see how cool and useful equipment!

In the previous issue of our magazine, dedicated to the achievements and results of the decade, we talked about home appliances of the future.

But the fact that it really is closer and more accessible than it seems, we were convinced, talking with Roman Andreevich Cherny, sales manager of the company “RobZone.Roux”, the American representative office of RobZone, manufacturer of robot-vacuum cleaners.

A robot vacuum cleaner is capable of autonomously navigating your floor, picking up dust, dirt, and debris. It uses sensors to detect obstacles, edges, and stairs in order to avoid them. Some models can also mop floors or have a built-in air purifier. They can be programmed to clean at specific times, and some can even be controlled remotely through a smartphone app. However, it’s important to note that they may not be as thorough as traditional vacuum cleaners, especially for deep carpet cleaning. What specific tasks or features are you looking for in a robot vacuum cleaner?

I’m curious to know what tasks a robot vacuum cleaner is capable of performing. Can it effectively clean different surfaces, handle pet hair, and navigate around furniture? How does it detect and avoid obstacles? Is it programmable or does it operate independently? And most importantly, does it provide a thorough and efficient cleaning experience?
