Nikon Europe B.V. introduces wedding photographer Nadia Meli as Nikon’s European Ambassador. This energetic woman is now part of the Nikon photography team: they strive to master the latest technology and are attentive to social trends, which helps them reflect their era as accurately as possible.

Nadia was born in Italy, grew up in Germany, and today lives in Brighton, England. For a while photography was just a hobby for her, until she asked a friend of Nadia to have her wedding photo taken in 2010. This episode launched Nadia’s meteoric rise to prominence as a professional wedding photographer and the formation of her own style.
Nadia’s approach reflects her vision and creative goal: to embody a sense of belonging. She is most passionate about other people and what happens to them. The photographer sees her mission as capturing moments of someone else’s life in original, romantic, simple and organic shots.
Throughout 2018, Nadia led workshops designed for photographers to help them find their own creative outlook, not just their way of working, in parallel with her wedding photography.
“My creative approach can be described in four words: joy, sincerity, intimacy, life,” says Nadia. – This is the vision I want to express in my photography. I have been using Nikon equipment practically since the very beginning of my career, and it has helped me form and develop my signature. I am honored to be a part of the Nikon Ambassador Program in Europe, along with some of photography’s greatest masters.”.
This year at photokina, Nadia was one of the first photographers in Europe to get the chance to test the new Nikon Z 7 mirrorless camera as well as the NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1 lens.8 S and the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S.
“I used the Z 7 camera and Z series lenses at several weddings this August, testing the new technique in a variety of situations. Whether you’re shooting indoors or outdoors, in bright daylight, at dusk or at night, this system delivers outstanding image quality and success in any light. It’s also lightweight and has a silent shutter, the kind of equipment wedding photographers could only dream of using. I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with the Nikon Z.”.
