Washing control center

You turn it or press it?

Psychologists established long ago that the more buttons and knobs be it a washing machine or a lathe , the less effective is human interaction with such equipment. Many functions and features simply “drop out” of human perception.

A few years ago, one of the main characteristics of washing machines was the number of washing programs. The most prestigious were washing machines with a large number of programs, up to twenty or more. But the stubborn statistics showed that about ten programs are used at best, and not very often. Household needs are limited to washing a few types of materials: cotton, linen, synthetics, wool.

The new generation machines have no concept of “number of programs”. It has become infinitely large, thanks to the ability to set any combination of temperature, number of rinses, spin speed.

Most modern machines have only 3-4 types of programs: for linen and cotton, for synthetic, for wool and silk. By setting one of the types on the control panel, you can vary the washing in a wide range, setting at your discretion the temperature, spin speed, number of rinses.

But the electronic brain of the machine makes sure that no mistakes are made. For example, if you put a higher temperature for washing wool or too high spin speed for synthetics, the machine will not “tell” you anything, but it will do it in its own way.

Another trend in recent years: all mechanical rotary knobs, which usually are used to set washing programs and parameters, are replaced by electronic control panel with buttons. This increases the reliability of the machine and lengthens the life of the machine because fewer moving parts and mechanical components are used.

FUZZY LOGIC with female logic

A popular innovation in recent years is the FUZZY LOGIC roughly translated as “fuzzy logic” electronic system. In fact, such a clever logic of action, God give everyone. In other companies such systems are called “PHASE-Control” or DIALOGIC – the essence is the same.

With FASZY-LOGIC, all you have to do is load into the drum any amount of laundry up to the load limit, pour in the desired amount of detergent and set the type of washing and the desired temperature. Electronics measure the load first. For this, the automatic system pours some water into the drum and the drum rotates several times to soak in the water. Sensors measure the load at this point and you are prompted to add the optimum amount of water.

This is also where the temperature of the water in the system can be measured, and the machine will immediately calculate the duration of the wash, taking into account the time needed to heat it up to a predetermined temperature. After processing the load data, the exact amount of water necessary for washing the laundry is filled in automatically, without your participation.

The FUZZY LOGIC control system, which seems to make the machine a bit more expensive, actually saves water, electricity and time for the consumer. It provides excellent washing results combined with unprecedented ease of operation – sometimes with the simple push of a single button.

More recently, machines with a half-load program were popular, so you could wash more often and a little at a time. But, washing half the amount of laundry, such a program saves only 30% of water and 25% of electricity. “FASZY-LOGIC is quickly replacing this outdated feature.

Eco-devo – Eco-Bio

Until recently, there was a struggle for the developers of washing machines to increase the temperature in the “boil-in” mode. Counting in degrees: 95 degrees C was considered better than 90, and such a machine was more expensive. With the widespread use of laundry detergents with bio-additives, this is no longer so relevant.

Many machines now have a new bioenzyme phase, or eco-program, for washing with enzyme powders. These powders contain biological additives in the form of microorganisms that eat up tough dirt, including proteins that other detergents can’t. Enzyme microorganisms do not tolerate temperatures above 60 degrees C. But the quality detergent with bioadditives is like two detergents in one bottle.

For heavy soiling, these powders can be used in prewash with soaking, and then with boiling in the main wash phase. Enzymes work at the soaking stage, high temperatures and detergents at the boiling stage. Even very dirty laundry should wash well!

Can you please provide more information on what a “washing control center” is? I’m curious to know if it is related to laundry systems, car washes, or some other type of washing facility. Additionally, what specific controls are present in this center and what is its purpose?
