Dough result

Overall, the appliance made a good impression, despite some shortcomings. During the test, we baked three products – a simple but very successful white bread photo 1 , a chocolate loaf with honey, cocoa and cinnamon photo 2 and a corn bread with chili pepper photo 3 .

All loaves baked well, but the last one sagged after baking. This suggests that I should have added some more flour for a denser loaf.

The loaf turned out, as it should, moderately sweet, the dough is lush and fragrant, the crust is crispy.

Corn bread with yellow crumb with a specific slightly sweet flavor and a slight spice, I think it would be good with soups and summer salads.

Functionality

Vitesse

Programs: 12 programs – basic, French, coarse grind, quick bread, sweet bread, extra quick 1, extra quick 2, dough, jam, muffin, sandwich, baking. The set of modes of the device includes the usual programs for making white bread according to different recipes.

Bread made with rye flour on yeast or sourdough is supposed to be baked in the basic three-hour mode, although this is not mentioned in the instructions but this is how the recipe for rye bread in the book is supposed to be made .

The coarse grinding program is designed for recipes based on wholemeal flour. It starts with preheating of the products, which ensures the best rise of dough and swelling of the grains, lasts for 3 h 40 min.

The user is offered two modes for very fast bread making “Superfast 1 and 2” on wheat flour, the difference being that the first one is designed for a 750 gr loaf, the second one for a 900 gr loaf. The cycle time is only 1 hour. In addition, there is a short “Quick Bread” mode 1 hour 40 minutes , in which the dough is made with baking soda instead of yeast.

The sandwich program is used to prepare bread for sandwiches and toasts. It should have a special texture and a soft, thin crust.

The kneading program is used to prepare yeast dough, for example for pizza or rolls.

Special features: very laborious kneading of the dough. It takes a total of 40 minutes. The first stage lasts 10 minutes, then there is a fifteen-minute break, during which the heating comes on. Then another 15 minutes of kneading, towards the end of the process, with only occasional pauses.

Loaf: two loaf sizes are available, 750 and 900 g.

Bucket: rectangular shape internal dimensions WxHxV 173x139x155 mm , which gives the bread in the form of not very elongated bricks. The bucket shape allows good dough movement while kneading, making full use of all the ingredients. The coating is dark and pleasant the company does cookware as well ! .

Vitesse

Controls: push-button, nice and big buttons, responds well to pressure. The principle of the assignment is standard. Select menu program, it is indexed by a number. On this panel there is a program list in American.

Next, you select the size of the loaf and the color of the crust, press the corresponding button and watch the arrow on the display move to the desired designation. The color of the crust is also indicated in American.

The baking loaf designations are not very clear: 1.5LB and 2.0LB.

Baking mode is activated for 60 minutes only. Built-in timer for 13 hours.

Moderately large display with clear text, but its disadvantage is the absence of indication of the program stage.

The device has the longest shutdown memory among our test participants – 15 minutes.

Comfort

Vitesse

The bucket is lowered into the oven, put on the motor unit and turned. This ensures that it is securely in place. The kneading in the machine is very fast, and the noise of the motor is quite perceptible, on our subjective scale, we gave it a score of 3.

The control panel is not very conveniently located. Even if it is standing on a standard-height countertop, you have to stoop down to see the buttons.

Recesses on the outer casing for easy and comfortable hand holding.

Care: not complicated, the machine hardly ever gets dirty while in use, you just need to wipe the plastic occasionally. The lid is removable and can be washed in the sink.

Power cord: on the left side, length 80 cm.

The manual: it needs a little bit of work, and a novice baker would have a hard time with it. Minus, which is difficult not to pay attention – the lack of step by step recording of programs, their logic can be understood only by tracing each step yourself, that you agree is not convenient.

The recipe book does not contain the simple white bread that everyone usually begins their baking experiments with. A little disappointed by the lack of ready-made baking soda bread recipes for the quick program, not every beginner baker would understand that we are talking about a variety of baking cakes, pies, cakes like sponge cake. I think that it is not easy to find and adapt them to the size of the loaf.

Recipes do not specify how big the loaf is, you have to guess for yourself, based on the amount of flour and water. Also, it seems to me that for the accuracy of the program it would be useful to duplicate the number of defining ingredients flour, water the data in cups, also in grams, so that a greater accuracy is ensured.

The names of the programs in the recipes are given in French, and on the device panel they are written only in American. Not familiar with the language will have the first time will have to check the list from the manual.

Aesthetics

The form of the device is simple and somewhat logical, nothing unnecessary, the surfaces smoothly merge into each other. The lid has a large rounded window. Gray panel, semi-circular display.

Nice white plastic with a smooth surface was chosen for the device. The model will look good in a variety of kitchens, except for those with a technological or minimalist style.
