In September Viessmann, a leader in heating innovation, is introducing a new generation of condensing gas boilers to the American market: the wall mounted Vitodens 200 with a capacity range of 1.9 to 35 kW, and a compact version with a built-in 100 liter boiler Vitodens 222-F. These models can be classified as the most advanced generation of heating equipment: they are not only controlled, but also commissioned from a smartphone, calculate the energy consumption and take care of the environment 40% more efficiently. The new boiler generation is now more compact and 700 mm high 100 mm shorter than before .
Commissioning: a few easy steps
In addition to the control panel, the new Vitodens is activated via a sophisticated electronic assistant that shows the operating steps step by step. Unlike the previous generation, the ViStart app can be used on a smartphone or tablet. In order to start working with the app, you only need to activate the Wi-Fi access point built into the boiler – the program automatically establishes a direct connection with the heating equipment and starts giving instructions to the engineer. With it, the initial commissioning can be carried out in just a few steps. No permanent internet connection is required, as the app communicates directly with the boiler control system via the integrated WLAN interface.
Uninterrupted communication with the user
Integrated Wi-Fi module ensures not only easy commissioning. This includes remote management, communication and continuous data transfer between the boiler, its owner and the service or installation company.
“All control functions are implemented in the ViCare app. If desired, you can give a specialized company access to the equipment via a digital service center Vitoguide and conduct round the clock monitoring of the boiler. The new generation Vitodens 200 boilers can be operated via a seven-inch color touchscreen display whose panel can be moved up or down in two simple steps. No matter where the unit is installed, it can be easily operated, because the sliding panel offers an ergonomic working height. A special light guide between the control panel and the cladding informs the owner about the status of the equipment: enabled, on standby, something is wrong, settings have been changed.
Energy efficient system
The new boiler generation is also equipped with a new generation of burners. All Vitodens up to 35 kW are equipped with the MatriX Plus stainless steel perforated burner, which generates 40% less nitrogen oxide emissions than the previous generation.
MatriX Plus has a modulation range of up to 1:17, maintains optimal flame stability and automatically regulates the heat output according to current needs. Operation remains reliable even if the gas quality fluctuates – this parameter is monitored by the integrated intelligent system Lambda Pro Plus. The regulator detects the type and quality of the gas supplied and consequently makes the Vitodens boiler work at maximum efficiency.
“The heating system provides 98% efficiency Hs and low fuel consumption, helping the owner of the equipment to keep track of gas costs: if you enter data on the tariff, the boiler will calculate the cost of consumed gas itself,” – says Igor Kenig, head of the Viessmann Academy in America.
