UMi introduces the new flagship UMi Z, the first smartphone based on the fresh MediaTek Helio X27 ten-core chipset. The debutant takes smartphone performance to a whole new level with powerful 2.6GHz Cortex-A72 cores and 875MHz Mali-T880MP4 graphics gas pedal. The UMi Z is backed by 4GB of RAM for efficient multitasking and a 3,780mAh battery that provides up to 15 days of standby time. The novelty features Pump Express+ fast charging feature, which allows just 30 minutes to get enough charge for normal operation of UMi Z throughout the day.
UMi Z smartphone
UMi Z became the company’s first all-metal device. Thin aluminum casing 8.2 mm is diluted with just two thin plastic strips to provide quality cellular signal reception. An energy-efficient 5.5″ IGZO display by Sharp with 1920 x 1080 pixels is protected against damage by a rounded 2.5D glass, completing the overall design concept of the UMi Z. There’s also an ultra-fast Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the front, with a response speed of 0.1-0.3s.
The undoubted advantage of the UMi Z was its cameras. The novelty offers two 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3L8 modules for the highest-quality pictures from both the main and front cameras. Meanwhile, the camera on the back features laser and phase focusing, as well as a four-LED flash, which has become a feature of the iPhone 7 family. The camera supports shooting video in 4K. 13 MP selfie camera with Softlight LED technology in low light conditions, groups pixels to capture the maximum amount of light, which reduces noise and produces photos with a high level of clarity and color.
As the software basis of UMi Z is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the company guarantees to update the device to Android 7.0 Nougat in the shortest time possible. Pre-sales of the new product start Dec. 29 for $279.99 in two colors: gray and gold.
