Ukrainian borscht from Oursson MP5005PSD multicooker

4 pepper mill mix pinch

Vegetable roast
Sunflower oil, g 50
Onions, pcs. ~ 150 g 1
Beet, units. ~150 g 3
Carrot, pc. ~ 100 g 2
Tomato paste, tbsp.l. 2
Vinegar 9% , g.l. 1

Borscht

White cabbage, g 250
Potatoes, pcs. ~ 150 g 2
Sweet pepper, pcs. ~ 200 g 0,5
Grinder 4 pepper mixture to taste
Salt, g 10
Beef broth to the MAX mark
Also
Sour cream, 20% fat, g 300
Garlic, cloves 5
Lard, gr 100
Fresh herbs, a bunch 1

Cooking method:

1. Place all the ingredients for the broth in the pot of your multicooker.

2. Cook on “Boil” setting for 1 hour at maximum pressure of 3.

3. Strain the broth. Separate the meat from the bones, cut into pieces.

4. Finely chop onion, grate carrots and beet on a coarse grater.

5. Put sunflower oil, finely chopped onion, grated beet and carrots into the pot of multicooker.

6. Chose “Baking” mode, cooking time 30 minutes. Prepare stew, add tomato paste and vinegar. Stir.

7. Slice and shred the cabbage in thin julienne strips, dice the potatoes.

8. Add shredded cabbage, potatoes to vegetables, pour the beef broth to the maximum mark.

9. Mix the contents of the multicooker. Select “Boil” mode, cooking time 30 minutes, pressure level – 3.

10. After the beep, add finely chopped fresh herbs, pieces of cooked beef to the pot and stir.

11. Grind garlic and lard in a mortar until homogeneous.

12. Pour the borsch into soup bowls and serve with sour cream, garlic, and bacon.

Note:

Serve with borsch on slices of rye bread, smeared with grated lard and garlic.

Cooking time: 2.5 hours

      Ingredients:
      – 500g beef or pork, cubed
      – 2 beetroots, grated
      – 2 carrots, grated
      – 1 onion, finely chopped
      – 2 potatoes, cubed
      – 1 bell pepper, chopped
      – 2 tomatoes, chopped
      – 1/4 cabbage head, shredded
      – 3 garlic cloves, minced
      – 2 bay leaves
      – 4 cups beef or vegetable stock
      – Salt and pepper to taste
      – Sour cream and fresh dill for garnish

      Instructions:
      1. Set the multicooker to “Saute” mode and brown the meat for a few minutes. Remove and set aside.

      6. Once done, let the pressure release naturally before opening the lid.
