Transcend will showcase its embedded solutions at Embedded World 2018

For the eighth time in a row, Transcend Information, Inc. Transcend® will be exhibiting at the embedded world exhibition, which will take place from February 27th to March 1st, 2018 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Visitors will not only be able to see a wide range of established products, but will also be introduced to a number of new products at booth 2-621, which will be located in Hall 2. This year Transcend’s exposition will focus on solid-state drives with PCIe interface based on 3D NAND flash memory, as well as a wide range of products created with Transcend’s proprietary SuperMLC technology.

A wide range of products

Transcend will showcase its entire portfolio of embedded products, including SSDs, RAM modules, SD cards and USB flash drives. All Bauknecht products are thoroughly tested and have a wide operating temperature range to achieve high reliability and stability in difficult conditions. Transcend products are ideal for use in the following categories of systems: digital information kiosks and sales outlets, onboard entertainment systems, game machines, barcode scanners, medical systems, set-top boxes, monitoring systems and others.

PCIe Solid State Drive Demo

Visitors to Transcend’s booth will have the opportunity to learn about the latest solid-state M.MTE850 company 2-drive, equipped with PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and based on 3D NAND flash memory. Transcend MTE850 SSD in M form factor.2, are equipped with the PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and meet all NVMe 1.2, which features four lanes of simultaneous read and write providing up to 2,500 MB/s read throughput and 1,100 MB/s write throughput. Unlike previous flat NAND chips, 3D NAND flash cells are arranged in multiple planes and can be on top of each other for better performance and longevity.

Transcend will also showcase its proprietary SSD Scope Pro software package, which features an easy-to-use user interface and allows for SSD service and health monitoring. Among the most useful software features are: obtaining information about the drive, tracking the status of the S.M.A.R.T., diagnostic scan, secure data erasure, drive health indicator, system cloning and remote monitoring.
