Transcend is introducing an NVMe solid-state drive in the single-sided M.2 Type 2230

Transcend Information, Inc. Transcend Transcend , a leading manufacturer of products for industrial applications, introduces the new MTE352T industrial SSD in single-ended M.2 form factor Type 2230 . SSD is designed using BiCS4 technology to form up to 96 layers of 3D NAND flash memory. Equipped with a PCIe NVMe interface and dynamic SLC cache for improved access speed to stored data, the industrial-grade drive has been extensively factory tested and endures up to 3,000 write/erase cycles for outstanding reliability for mission-critical data.

Compact and single-sided M.2 Type 2230

The MTE352T drive features a compact M.2 Type 2230 and measures 30 x 22 x 2.38mm, a fraction of the size of a standard 2.5-inch SSD. In addition, the drive meets the specifications for single sided M.2 form factor and can fit on most motherboards compatible with single-sided M.2 SSD. The new MTE352T SSD is designed for ultra-thin portable applications such as single-sided S2/S3 slots, where the backside of the SSD’s PCB is pressed up against the motherboard, making it ideal for small form factor applications.

Up to 3,000 write/erase cycles

The MTE352T is based on high quality BiCS4 3D TLC NAND flash memory with 96 layers. Compared to cards based on BiCS3 NAND which can only have up to 64 layers of flash, the new device offers significantly higher areal density. The drive can handle up to 3,000 write/erase cycles, on par with MLC NAND-based devices, while offering high performance and optimal reliability.

The 512GB MTE352T SSD can hold up to 1080TB of storage, ensuring that all your most important data is safely backed up. MTBF mean time between failures of up to 3 million. hours.

Performance up to 1700MB/sec

MTE352T in M form factor.2 2230 complies with NVMe 1 standard.3 and is equipped with a PCIe Gen3 x2 interface. The SSD features a dynamic SLC cache and performs sequential read and write operations at speeds of up to 1,700 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s, respectively. The drive also achieves up to 230,000 IOPS for 4K random read and write operations.

SSD Scope Pro Software

The SSD’s proprietary Scope Pro software provides an intuitive interface to monitor drive health for more efficient use and maintenance of the embedded SSD. Features include Drive Information, S.M.A.R.T. S.M.A.R.T. The new Transcend Solid State Drive is available in four configurations: Status, Diagnostic Scan, Secure Erase, Health Indicator, System Clone and Firmware Update.

Wide operating temperature range

Transcend also supplies the MTE352T-I drive with a wide operating temperature range -40℃ to 85℃ , ensuring optimum reliability, stable performance, and longevity for mission-critical applications.
