New York, February 27, 2013. – TP Vision presents the new Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 series, created especially for those who prefer a multi-functional high-tech TV sets capable of fitting perfectly into modern interiors. Both feature brilliant picture quality and three-sided Ambilight, making them remarkably easy to control. The PFL7008 and PFL7108 will go on sale in America starting in the second quarter of 2013.

Black and white – two sleek designs to choose from

The new 7000 series comes in two versions. The Philips PFL7008 TV is a frameless glass panel in a slim matte black aluminum frame with a silver panel on the bottom of the screen. Its counterpart, the Philips PFL7108, combines a stylish white bottom bar, stand and back panel. Both TVs blend perfectly into the modern home. And even with such a narrow panel underneath the screen at the bottom of the panel there is a Skype camera.

The Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 live up to the highest standards of picture quality in both 2D and 3D. Perfect Motion Rate 700Hz in combination with Perfect 3D Natural Motion delivers powerful motion compensation and unrivaled picture clarity. Ambilight XL three-sided backlighting enhances the viewing experience by visually expanding the screen.

Easy to control and navigate Philips Smart TV

Enjoy easy control of Philips Smart TV multifunctional services with two-way remote control and optional keypad. A built-in gravity sensor instantly detects user preferences: Conventional 5-button joystick control or typing on the keypad on the back of the remote.

Sharing content and networking

To support the many ways you can use your TV as a second screen, the Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 come with a range of innovative new features. Philips MyRemote, Wi-Fi Miracast and SimplyShare let you easily share content with your mobile devices. The Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 can also be used for MultiRoom[1], an app that streams content from your main TV to a secondary TV.
