TP-LINK introduces the Touch P5 router with a touch screen and high peusaormance Wi-Fi

Barcelona, Spain – March 2, 2015, MWC – TP-LINK, the world leader in wireless hardware, today announced the Touch P5 router, the first device in its line of touchscreen routers.

Computers & Peripherals

Touch P5 is new in the line of high-end routers, and follows on from the Archer C9. This time, the device features a touch screen with a control system that can be described as “powerful and intuitive” in a nutshell.

The Touch P5 has a number of features that make it really appealing. Supports dual-band wireless streaming at up to 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, up to 1,300 on 5 GHz, and can be wall-mounted. It has USB 2 ports.0 i 3.0 for high-speed access to network storage or a printer and features 3 dual band antennas for incredible coverage and signal strength.

The bright, 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen is an innovative user experience that delivers the best user experience, in addition to the web interface that most routers are accustomed to,” said Andy Chen.

“The touch screen is able to provide an advanced level of user interaction with the wireless router, allowing users to see network settings directly,” said Andy Chen, Director of Global Business.

The screen is coated with impact-resistant glass for ruggedness and durability, and is powered by an independent STMicroelectronics chipset, unlike other routers with a touchscreen display. This innovation will allow you to get the most efficient experience out of it, without loading up the main router’s CPU.

One of the main features of Touch P5 is the simple yet original user interface design. Users who are familiar with mobile device interfaces will be able to intuitively understand the touch control system. Those users with less experience will be able to learn it quickly, as the user-friendly interface and design provides an incredibly user-friendly environment.

“The user interface is designed for use by a wide variety of users. We wanted to make it as feature-rich as possible without burdening it with unnecessary specifications,” said Andy Chen.

Touchscreen interface lets you access a host of features for home and entertainment, including wireless settings, print server, file storage, WPS, and media server.

Touch P5 has a 1 GHz chipset from Broadcom, and it broadcasts on two frequency bands simultaneously, delivering a combined wireless data rate of up to 1900 Mbps, which is significantly faster than most routers in this class. Performance is also improved with three dual-band antennas that work on 802 standards.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and thanks to gigabit WAN and LAN ports for fast and reliable wired connections.

All of the above proves that the Touch P5 is another important solution from TP-LINK, with incredibly powerful routing functionality and a vibrant user experience.
