Five reliable SATA hard drives for desktops, laptops and consoles

X300 High Performance Hard Drive is for gamers, graphics professionals, and other users who want the best of the best. X300 high-capacity hard drive provides reliable data protection, employs 128 MB of cache memory and a two-stage drive, with a spindle speed of up to 7200 rpm. Available in 4TB, 5TB and 6TB capacities.

P300 is a high-speed hard disk drive for โ€œheavyโ€ applications. It runs at 7200 RPM, uses 64 MB of cache memory and connects via SATA 6Gb/s interface., and hard drive supports Native Command Queuing NCQ and data protection technologies. Available capacities are 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 3TB.

The E300 is designed for economical desktop computing and features low noise, quiet operation, and reduced power consumption requires up to 25% less power than 7200 RPM hard drives . All of these features increase reliability and extend the life of the device. New product is available in 2TB and 3TB capacities.

H200, a 500GB, 1TB high-speed hybrid drive, is available in the 2.5-inch drive line. Using Toshibaโ€™s NAND chips, the device combines the speed of flash memory with the capacity of a mechanical hard drive. The device is suitable for personal computers, game consoles and fast laptops.

Another 2.5-inch new product, the 500GB, 1TB L200 delivers consistent speed for gaming and everyday office tasks. Hard drives include support for NCQ and Ramp Loading data protection technology, which is essential for mobile computing.

Toshiba focuses on high performance and reliability in this new family of drives featuring a dual-stage disk drive DSA for the most precise read/write head positioning, RV sensors for improved vibration compensation, noise reduction technologies and Native Command Queuing NCQ for efficient command processing. Recording density, storage reliability and efficiency are enhanced with Perpendicular Recording PMR , Magneto-Resistive Tunnel TMR , and Advanced Formatting technologies. Ramp Load technology protects the drive during transport and the shock sensor prevents data loss on impact.

All specifications are listed in the summary table below.

New drives with SATA interface will go on sale in September with recommended retail prices starting at 4467 Dollars P300 , from 7496 Dollars E300 , from 17339 Dollars X300 , from 4467 Dollars L200 , from 5224 Dollars H200 .
