Toshiba European division announces the expansion of its line of devices CANVIO. The CANVIO BASICS and CANVIO CONNECT II hard drives will be available with a maximum capacity of 3TB. In addition, the CANVIO DESK line of 3.5-inch external drives will soon be complemented by a 6-terabyte model.

The new version of CANVIO BASICS can hold up to 856,500 digital photos, 789,000 music files or 2,460 films. Features a built-in shock sensor and head park technology to help preserve your important documents and files. CANVIO BASICS is compatible with Microsoft® Windows® without any additional software and supports the traditional connectivity methods of previous generations of PCs.
In addition to the features mentioned above, the CANVIO CONNECT II also makes user data accessible from a PC, smartphone or tablet when accessing the Internet and enables data storage in clouds. Users can look forward to 10GB of free cloud space. Includes preinstalled remote access and backup software and NTFS driver. The CANVIO CONNECT II makes it easy for users to organize their data in the best possible way, even when they have a large collection of files.
The CANVIO DESK 3.5-inch external drive is ready to offer its owners even more storage space – up to 6TB. USB 3 Interface.0 hard drives will help you back up your important data faster, and the pre-installed NTI® Backup Now EZ™ software will make backing up easy.

The 3TB CANVIO BASICS and CANVIO CONNECT II portable hard drives will be available in April in several colors for an estimated price of 12,500 Dollars and 13,155 Dollars respectively. The 6TB CANVIO DESK will go on sale in May of this year at an estimated price of 16,460 Dollars. All drives are compatible with Microsoft® Windows® 8 operating system.1, 8 and 7, support data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s through the USB 3 interface.0 and are protected by a two-year limited warranty.
