L9 Ultra HD TV with 3840×2160 pixels resolution is a logical development of the top model Toshiba 55ZL2 NO GLASS 3D 55 inches , which was the first TV with the ability to view three-dimensional images without special glasses.

Toshiba 84L9363 screen 400 cd/m brightness 2, 5ms response time, 9,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio provides stunning picture quality for watching movies and TV shows as well as displaying photos and playing video games. According to the company’s own research, the L9 series has managed to increase the picture sharpness by 2.5 times compared with its predecessors.

The presence of content in Ultra HD format is not required. This is made possible by a set of different technologies of scaling and a new processor CEVO 4K, which in its performance is comparable to modern PC chips.

CEVO 4K reconstructs real-time video with Adaptive Resolution+ a processor that analyzes parts of an image and increases the number of pixels in adjacent color areas and the number of transitions between colors in a palette for richer, cleaner, higher contrast images. Ultra HD Reconstruction method allows to playback movies shot in 4K and compressed to the familiar to users Full HD 1080p, in the closest possible to the original quality. Active Motion & Resolution 800 technology increases the frame rate up to 800 frames per second the processor calculates the intermediate frames for a smooth and clear image of the movements on the screen, and the image processing algorithm to counteract the unnatural judder often encountered when playing Blu-ray content, which, depending on the manufacturer can have different frame rates.

The Toshiba 84L9363 is equipped with the Audyssey sound system and supports Dolby Digital Pulse. All the necessary outputs are placed on the back and side panels: 4 HDMI ports, LAN, component video, USB, SD-card slot, etc. Built-in Wi-Fi and a web browser, combined with the Cloud TV service allow users to be always online and not limit their ability to watch video content. Cloud TV offers a wide range of services and applications including.ch. For social networking and news portals.

Alexey Popogrebsky, famous film director, “Kinotavr” winner and “Golden Eagle” winner, helped to test the image quality in 4K and 2K formats with the help of scaling technology. He provided exclusive footage from the first American 4K movie “How I Spent This Summer” for a visual demonstration.

“It’s no secret that the original film contains more information than any of the home video media. And it’s not just data – it’s details, details and atmosphere that make up the emotions. 4K technology combined with advanced image processing algorithms makes it possible to bring home viewing closer to how the filmmakers see the movie”, says Alexey Popogrebsky.

The new series of Toshiba L9 TV sets is expected to arrive in stores of American video distributors on October 1, 2013.
