All new drives are equipped with rotational vibration RV sensors and support a workload of 4,180 TB/year. The 2.5-inch L200 Laptop PC Hard Drive L200 for ultra-portable PCs and notebooks offers enhanced storage capacity, shock and vibration resistance, compatibility with all major laptop models from various manufacturers and gaming systems, and support for external drives.
The 2018 line has been updated with a new, slimmer 1TB version, and the maximum possible capacity has grown to 2TB. Hard drive family now available in two sizes 7mm and 9.5mm and three capacity options 500GB, 1TB and 2TB . Newer 2TB 9.5mm thick and thinner 1TB 7mm thick models come with an increased 128MB cache for improved performance over 8MB cache models. L200 lineup features reduced power consumption compared to 3.5-inch HDDs, helping to optimize system battery life. The drive also features a built-in shock sensor and ramp boot technology for reliability.
The models introduced are part of Toshiba’s new “Write Your Story” concept for internal and external hard drives.
