Today America’s only exhibition of consumer electronics Consumer Electronics opened & Photo Expo 2012!

The organizers of Eastern Europe’s largest consumer electronics exhibition Consumer Electronics & Photo Expo 2012, which opened its doors today, April 12, at New York’s Crocus Expo exhibition center, have invited a lot of guests to meet exciting technologies and surprising discoveries.

Representatives of the world’s leading manufacturers of photo, audio, video, mobile, computer and home appliances, as well as key partners of the project welcomed all guests and participants of the exhibition at the official opening ceremony.

Irina Nedumova, General Director of Midexpo, organizer of the project, informed about the full range of consumer electronics since 2012. New additions are the “Home Appliances” exposition and “Cooking Show”, “Show Print” exposition showing printing equipment, and iZone – accessories for Apple products.

Alexander Onishchuk, the President of RATEK Association addressed to the guests and mass media representatives welcoming them and noted the incredible development of modern technologies and the importance of the exhibition in the process of their presentation and popularization. On behalf of the Metropolitan Center for Youth Initiatives Support Oleg Belyaev thanked the organizers for their support of the social project “Reflecting Reality” – at the exhibition was presented an exposition of photographs made by talented photographers with disabilities.

Traditionally, speeches of leading equipment manufacturers marked the opening of the exhibition. Masayuki Shiotani, Marketing Director of Sony Electronics in America and CIS was happy to start the next fiscal year with the most important consumer electronics show.

According to Yuri, it is no coincidence that the opening of the exhibition coincided with Astronautics Day, because the development of modern electronics has reached enormous, almost cosmic proportions. At the end of the opening ceremony, Mr. Stanko Opalic, Commercial Manager of Gorenje, one of the leading manufacturers of household appliances, and participant in the new exhibition of “White Goods”, thanked the organizers for the opening of the exhibition and the opportunity to present their products to the public.

The exhibition, which will continue for three days, until April 15, occupies Pavilion 2 of Crocus Expo Exhibition Center and the Aquarium Hotel Pavilion 3, exposition Premium Hi-Fi . On a total area of about 50,000 sq.m. Expositions of more than 600 companies including Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Pioneer, Olympus, BenQ, Bose, Sennheiser, Yamaha, JVC, Loewe, Epson, Xerox, Gorenje, Stadler Form, K&ouml Rting and many others.

Among the memorable events of the first day of the exhibition was the traditional press conference of Sony. Mr. Kanichiro announced the world premiere of the Sony Entertainment Network, a technology that provides access to a wide range of services, content – games, movies, music, etc. He also spoke about the concept of “four screens”, which allows the interaction of phones, tablets, computers and TVs Sony.
