This new generation of Thomas XT represents a new breed of vacuum cleaner that Thomas engineers managed to solve several problems. Thomas’s famous aqua filter was never equipped with a lid, and cleaning it was not as easy and hygienic as we would have liked. New, improved design of the aqua filter is called Aqua-Box. The airflow is first directed by jets of water through a wall of water formed by four counter-jet nozzles. The water wall wets every dust and hair particle, making them heavy and sticking to other debris particles. Then the air with this suspension gets into a “mist” of water droplets, where the dust particles rotate in airy micro-cyclones. Dust particles don’t have time to be carried away by the airflow and they tend to settle on the wet walls of the Aqua-Box and then drop down into the water. The Aqua-Box is washable after use just pour clean water into it, shake it several times, and empty it. The Aqua-Box has been slimmed down and made more compact.
