The winter will pass, the summer will come!

If you have a house, and it is already winter and freezing outside, it’s time to think about the best way to keep warm in your home? It must be said that there are not so many versions of this equipment – it is possible to freeze while you are choosing and estimating. So, in order not to get cold and make your choice, we decided to switch on all the options for heating one by one.

I put the equipment in places K. Shevchenko, marketing and advertising manager at Stiebel Eltron STE .

Fan heater

Provide instant and quick heating, especially if positioned directly in the air stream. Ideal for use as individual heaters, as well as for heating small and medium-sized rooms: offices installation on or under the table , workshops, bathrooms, medium-sized rooms.

The heaters are easy to maintain, versatile, and can perform both heating and ventilation functions. Usually, heaters are equipped with a thermostat and can maintain a predetermined temperature. Many models have the “antifreeze” function, with which the device automatically keeps the room temperature at +5 ° C, preventing freezing with minimal power consumption. The heaters can be placed on the floor, on a table, there are models for mounting on the wall.

Ceramic heaters

provide instantaneous and quick heating. Operate according to a rational technology: as the temperature rises, energy consumption decreases. Suitable for offices, workshops, medium-sized rooms. In summer, they can be used as fans to blow cool air.

Convectors

provide a stable heating.

Firstly, convection heats any room quickly and evenly. Secondly, the economy is achieved through the ability to automatically maintain a predetermined temperature.

and, of course, safety. The body of the convector heats up to safe temperatures of 60-65 degrees. Space heating with a convector is achieved by passing air through heating elements. Cold air rises as it is heated and the next batch falls in its place. After which the process repeats.

The convector heats the air in the room without the use of devices for forced air circulation, which makes it more reliable and economical device compared to heaters with built-in fan. And, unlike heaters, convectors, creating an effective movement of warm air, absolutely do not create noise at work.

Convectors are absolutely safe for children! Low case temperature means you can’t get burned, access to the inside of the unit is completely enclosed. In addition, the very design of the device does not allow foreign objects that can ignite, get on the heating element. In the case of overheating, the overheat sensor is triggered, which turns off the power.

convectors are ideal for long periods of time, but do not retain their effect after they are switched off and do not continue to give off heat. Suitable for rooms where you need to maintain the temperature: living rooms, bedrooms, children’s rooms, etc.. Experts consider the convector the only electric heating appliance that can be left unattended by a person.

Infrared heaters infrared heaters

Work on the principle of the sun: radiate heat in the infrared range, but without harmful ultraviolet radiation.

The heat produced is not absorbed by the air, but directly affects the objects falling in the zone of the device, etc.. The device transmits the heat not to the air but to the objects and people. it can be used outdoors and indoors in large rooms, where heating the whole volume of air to a comfortable temperature is difficult or impossible.

The benefits of infrared heaters are most apparent when they are used for heating offices, stores, cafes, premises with poor insulation: terraces, pergolas, open verandas, as well as workplaces in open areas or rooms with poor insulation.

Micathermic heaters

The basis of the heating element of such a heater is a thermoelement nickel alloy , which generates heat energy. This element is located inside the mica layer, which heats up instantly under the influence of the heating element itself and has an extremely high degree of heat transfer.

Micathermic heaters heat up almost instantly and immediately begin to actively give off heat. In this case only the heating element inside the heater is heated, while the body of the heater remains cold enough and eliminates the possibility of burns, which is especially important for parents with small children.

Let’s heat up in a race

1st place – heat gun

The first place is due to the fact that the high temperature of the heating element 400-600 0C , spiral or other heating element, combined with a high-performance fan allows you to quickly pass the entire volume of air in the room.

2nd place – convector

The heating element is not as hot 120-280 0C because its surface is larger. But at the expense of the design of the device there is a convection – “agitation” of the air in the room.

3rd place – heaters

Despite the high temperature 180-340 0C of the heating element spiral, TEN , has a low-power fan. Hence the speed is lower than that of the gun.

Oil heater.

Unlike the above devices, it has neither a high surface temperature, nor fans, nor a special design -(70-85 0C . Everything is rather inert and slow.

Heating radiators

Not exactly an electric device. 80-90 0C But it is possible to put it on the list, if the heat carrier is heated by means of the electric boiler.

Underfloor heating, electric or water, 40-42 0C .

Infrared heaters

Separately, we can distinguish infrared heaters, which use a slightly different heating scheme. If all these devices heat the air first, and objects walls, floor, ceiling, people are heated by the air, the infrared device first heats the surface, and then heats the air around them. Such devices are used for local heating indoors, as well as in open spaces: terraces, balconies, loggias, etc. .
