WHICH IS ESPECIALLY CONVENIENT
If the user is a fan of Asian cuisine and canât imagine his life without rice, then VITESSE VS-513 model is just a godsend for him or her .
The appliance allows you to cook rice following all the nuances of the recipe, taking into account the characteristics of rice variety and species, as well as the tastes of gourmet: rice can âat your willâ become hard, standard or soft.
Itâs convenient to cook rice for sushi and rolls, for risotto, for pilaff of any kind and for diet viscous porridge. We tried boiling rice for sushi, it should be suitable for molding, and it turned out exactly as promised.
I liked the clear, well-lit display, with a large clock, however, the indications of all the subtleties of cooking on it are a bit small.
WHATâS MISSING..
The VITESSE VS-513 lacks simplicity of operation. So many settings that are unnecessary for the average user who is not a fan of rice dishes. Of course, you can ignore all these inscriptions and buttons, which have to do with the choice of variety, variety and taste of rice, but itâs very distracting.
It feels like pressing the âPRONEâ and âCOOKING SOURCEâ buttons, but they are more about accessing the âriceâ menu, while the âMENUâ button is for selecting the normal ânon riceâ programs.
There is no special baking program in this multicooker, but you can bake in it: in the âPorridge/Soupâ program the same biscuits, muffins and curd casseroles are quite successful.
WHAT WE COOKED AND WHAT WE GOT
Beef stew with beans. Put chopped onion 2 heads , then 700g of chopped meat, sliced carrots, salt in the saucepan of your VITESSE VS-513. Three tins of beans have poured all the liquid into the pot of the multicooker.
We turned on the âStewâ mode for 2 hours. 30 minutes before the end of the program we added spices and tomato paste, put the beans, chopped garlic, stirred. The result â the meat melts in your mouth, the beans bask in a tangy sauce⊠exactly 2 minutes, for further it simply disappears from the plate! Perfect!
Noodle Soup. Roasted onions and carrots in âPorridge/Soupâ mode until transparent for about 10 minutes with the lid open . Then we put the chicken meat in and fried it on both sides.
We added water, noodles, salted, seasoned the soup, pepper, and turned on the âPorridge/Soupâ mode for 1 hour. The recipe surprised me by the fact that the noodles should not be put in at the end of cooking, but right away. No wonder it cooked so well for an hour. Our recommendation is still to put it 5-10 minutes before the end of the program.
Vinaigrette. A special feature of this recipe is to steam cook the vegetables in a special steam cooker, but not âin the jacketâ, but already peeled and chopped. We decided to try it and realized that 45 minutes is a long time, as recommended by the recipe, the vegetables were ready in 25 minutes.
It takes more time for peeling-cutting than for working with vegetables âin the jacketâ, but the taste of the salad struck by the tenderness. Thanks for the tutorial, it was worth it!
HOW DID THE MANUAL HELP OR NOT?
All is clearly told about cooking rice, a warning about the timer it does not give a delayed start, but shows how much time the dish will be ready .
the recommendations not to cook instant cereals in the multicooker and not to pour vinegar into the container it spoils the non-stick coating came in handy. It seemed to us that it would be possible to give more practical advice, for example, how to fry and steam foods: whether it is possible to open the lid, in what program is better to do it.
The instructions say that you can cook with crust, you can bake, but how â is not explained. For example, whether the crust is on top or bottom? What program is better to bake in, if there is no special mode for baking? Some confusion occurs with the mode âbrown riceâ.
In the description of the buttons, there is no indication of what this mode is and what itâs for. Below is the interpretation of âBrown riceâ pilaf . And since we first tested the same model with English control, we found that instead of âBrown riceâ on the English version of the display, there was âCrustâ, which usually means âCooking with crustâ.
