First impression

First of all, I liked that the body is made of brushed stainless steel: stylish, durable, and ā€“ importantly ā€“ almost no fingerprints are visible on the brushed surface.

Secondly, unlike many of its counterparts, designed for the ā€œwhole appleā€ format, this device is quite compact and does not take up much space.

Third, some thoughtful details, on which manufacturers often just save money, attracted attention. For example, the juice squeezer spout is made of stainless steel, not plastic, and perfectly ā€œhidesā€ in the jug juice spout, not allowing a single drop of juice to spill past.

The jug is equipped with a graduation of the volume in milliliters and foam separator defoamer ā€“ a special flap that when pouring juice into the cup prevents the entry of foam inevitable when juicing. We also noticed that the filter is made entirely of stainless steel, which makes it more durable and hygienic.

Getting pure juice

Juicers

We made a total of 610g of juice and foam. Of course, after straining the clear juice without foam, the result was less: 536 g of juice out of 1,063 g of the total mass of the starting product.

Juice taste

To be honest, we were a little worried about this parameter: after all, when testing juicers see. Home Appliances #8/2010 , we have encountered some unpleasant moments: sometimes the juice smelled like plastic, which did not contribute to the pleasure of drinking fresh fruit. Everything was top-notch here: no extraneous odors or flavors.

Effectiveness test result

Efficiency of the device GOST: according to the current GOST ā€œJuicers householdā€, the efficiency of the device is measured by the formula E = m2/m1 * 100, where m2 ā€“ mass of squeezed juice, m1 ā€“ mass of the original product. Efficiency measured in percent.

Calculating the result according to the formula, we got E = 536 1063 * 100 = 50.4%, which is 5.4% more than the efficiency rate required by GOST.

Standard GOST is considered a result of 45% for measurements used strained clear juice without foam, the formula applies to all kinds of juices, that is averaged .

Tested for safety

We pressed the device against the table top a little, so that the suction cups could fix it on the table surface, and tried to move it: no luck!

After verifying the stability of the juicer, we simulated improper assembly: we closed the lid loosely without locking it. Pressed the button ā€“ to no avail, the device did not think to work, so it was not possible to damage it this way.

Easy to care for?

To disassemble and assemble the device it is possible in only five steps: after all details it does not have so much, their installation is simple and intuitive.

Removable container has no gaps where pulp could get stuck inside, so itā€™s easy to remove. Its shape is such that you can simply insert a cellophane bag into it, in which all the waste will go and you can just take it out and throw it away.

However it is not possible to get rid of device cleaning completely: some part of cake remains on the inner side of the lid and on the filter, as for absolutely all centrifugal juicers.

Cleaning the filter was easier than we thought: the kit includes a very handy brush: its width matches the width of the working surface of the filter, and in a minute removes all, even deeply blocked particles of cake. Note that the removable plastic parts are dishwasher safe.

Competitors, aw!

For comparison: in an independent test conducted by our editorial board in 2010 see: ā€œA juicer with a water filterā€ , we simulated the improper assembly of the juicer. Home Appliances #8/2010 , 7 centrifugal juicers, designed for loading a whole apple, took part in the test.

Their efficiency was determined by the same methodology and was 50.5% , 51.5%, 44%, 50%, 49.5%, 53%, 43.5% if you find the average efficiency by summing the test results with carrot and apple juice .

Letā€™s add that the cost of these devices at that time was respectively 21890 rub., 6590 Dollars., 6990 Dollars., 4390 rub., 1999 Dollars., 3980 Dollars., 6,490 Dollars. That is, in terms of efficiency on this list, LASKO Pitea ranks fourth out of eight just 0.1% away from third place ā€“ 50.5% , and second in terms of affordability.
